Re: open External hall effect sensor mount

Well, I am having some issues with my esc (alien dual 150A) - one side stopped working, so I can't really test this until I get it fixed. Most of the escs sold by Alien are made by FlierESC. Flier has garbage quality control and high failure rate with pretty much everything they make. I'd recommend...

Re: NGV - Next Boards - hub motor 4wd (Guinness 59.55 mph)

What about 4wd with a satellite config? 4x Tacon 160s (245kv) on 10s with a 1:1 (or slight reduction) gearing (should be enough torque to start with 4 motors) could reach 100+mph

It sounds useful for 18650 packs with a relatively low continuous amp discharge rate.

Re: My e-board caught fire

I melted 3 10s9p 18650 packs by not monitoring individual cell voltage rather i depended on the lvc and it works fine if the packs remain balanced and in good health but soon as one cell drops out you need to know. so I use a shunt and voltage gauge now so I can workout my watthour on the fly and s...

Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

@Paragon - Not at the moment, I think the CF Deck is similar to the never summer reaper and wefunk mach1. I actually have a wefunk mach1 :) so for now most likely not. In the future of it there's a huge interest I may. Might just do a few different runs and see what people like. What kind of size w...

Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

Any chance of a longer version of that 30in deck? I was set on a never summer reaper or wefunk mach 1, but I like the idea of an aluminum deck.

I know someone who'd be willing to buy the faulty space cell if the end user does not want to fix it.

Re: Project Paragon | Trampa E-MTB | Tacon 160 | Custom Comp

cool idea and looks pretty nice too! got 2 remarks though about this idea of an all in one motormount-electronic-box: * the space between your feet is usually empty anyway and for tricks such as 180s, 360s, etc you want the mass centered directly in the spinning point of the board (which is: betwee...

Project Paragon | Trampa E-MTB | Custom Enclosure

Hello, After completing a pintail build and riding around, I nearly fell a few times due to going over small rocks. I have also experienced speed wobble at around 25mph. To kill two birds with one stone; I decided on a mountainboard build. Most electric mountain boards that I have seen looked extrem...

Re: community project HUB MOTOR

About the smell, how hot do the motors get? You may be burning the enamel of the windings. If so, the motors will eventually short. Also, heat kills the magnets.

Re: SUPER CHEAP QUALITY PNEUMATIC WHEELS

What is the quality of the rubber? This is what I found online: http://www.surfingdirt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=437 ^^ General consensus on that thread is that the Maks tires last way longer than MBS tires when used on the road; they are also very grippy. Also, they used to sell for $70+ a set (f...

Re: SUPER CHEAP QUALITY PNEUMATIC WHEELS

The Ground Industries Terraintula wheels are aluminum with carbon fiber. The Crosshair hubs are plastic. They fit mountainboard trucks so 12mm axle, but you can probably switch out the bearings if you want. Here is the description on the terraintulas: "These are brand new Ground Industries 200 x 50 ...
