Re: Cyclone chain alignment - is it possible to move the sprocket?

A few millimeters is ok I also added a counter sunk hex head bolt to the drive shaft to create longitudinal force on the grub scew after tightening
There's a pic of my aft 1680 with the bolt

Re: aft 1680

Thinking that I may have reduced the noise of the aft just a little by adding nulon ptfe gearbox oil additive for cars. And so much smoother better than the Indian ink that came with it

My 50 kg rear rack arrived with 25 kg stamped into the metal
Might cope with 30kg

Re: aft 1680

Hi Added second strap straight away and adjusted it every other outing . Used the claw that is part of the new clamps on one No twisting of the clamps . So can now set chain line without over compensating for the movement Much easier to ride harder with a finer clearance from output shaft and crank ...

Re: Australian helmet laws

Recently had appendix removed, found out that my private health care is of little value
So any one that thinks health care is free in Australia has some kind of welfare support . I still think kids have more to gain from a helmet but the law can't touch them if they choose not to wear it.

Australian helmet laws, edit (survey results )

Unlikely to change the way of a nanny state https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DPBTMV3 I wear a helmet although i have left home without it Feeling guilty when I realized. The law is unable to target the youngest who are more likely than an experienced rider to have nee...

Re: BRAKES making them better ????

The bbshd now has a disc on the front after the wheels needed replacement
With so many different types of pads now available for rim brakes the only difference I find is in the wet where the disc with a smaller area dries faster or maybe just stays dry

Re: BBS02 - Another frustrating problem!!!"

Seems a bit like when I dropped the battery for the bbs. cutout after a short ride though I didn't associate with dropping at the time. then just touching the throttle would turn it off and battery voltage checked fine It knocked something loose Emax in Sydney fixed it no fuss Edit Two years after p...

Re: AFT or LR or GNG which is better?

I did add another clamp which helps reduce the number of adjustments needed to keep it in check
Only on the warmest of days has the motor shut down due to the motor twisting preventing me from pedaling and changing gear
There must be better value to be had

the AFT alloy motor support looks good though softens with ongoing flex
i think its way over priced

Re: BBS02 brakes

a slight flick of the lever when changing gears or an accidental grab of throttle when already on the brake in an off road situation or the like means it wont bite back
the switch already has a magnet inside i just open it up remove and glue a larger one to the lever

Re: BBS02 brakes

It is possible to remove the switch from the brake lever use some heat shrink to protect the wiring joint and you have the same thing.
I glued a magnet to the lever
the motor will run with the switch unplugged so i think its normally open switch

Re: aft 1680

problems with the clamp on the down tube slipping just as others have
once it started moving i have been unable to put enough tension to hold it
looks like the motor bracket is softening with the flex
