Re: What are your views on 3d printed mounts and pulleys?

3d printed motor mounts are fine for prototyping and to prove an idea. but it's best to move onto aluminium quickly after that, I don't want a motor mount letting go at 40km/h. Wheel pulleys are absolutely fine to be 3d printed. i have 100's of km clocked on printed pulleys and apart from a few ding...

I've got a CNC router. So knocking up a heatsink from aluminium wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Active pre-charge/inrush control

I'm based in Australia. But I'll gladly take one off your hands. Pm me the cost and I'll sort it out. I may do a run of these boards myself. What's the best way to go about ordering 10 or so? I'll be using them in skateboards would there be a way to make them even more compact. While still retaining...

Any more progress with these switches izeman?
How do you find their longevity?
I'm looking at making something similar for isolating the battery packs on electric skateboards.

Awesome work.

Would anyone happen to know the resistance range of the trigger potentiometer?
That's assuming it is in fact a pot.

I only use the nano with the nunchuck. Both the version using the ftdi chip and the Chinese knock offs work fine for me.

Re: Bolt-on motor mount with moutainboard hub?

If someone can send me the dimensions of a trampa truck with the square hangers I can knock up a design and mill it out of aluminium and send it off. I don't have a mountainboard at this stage and the funding is too low to go buying one. :)

Re: 3D printed parts Depository

If you use the outer spacer from the voodoojar's design it will work with my design. mine is just a pulley for the drive side. the kegel wheel holes remain the same. voodoojar's deign is more refined than mine. my 3d modeling experience is fairly limited in that regard. i make functional items first...

Re: Integrating Lipo Charger into E-Board

I'm thinking of using this as my onboard charger for the next board i build. not sure how it'll turn out. I only plan on connecting it up in parallel for charging. not placing any load on it. I'll let the esc use it's LVC limit to protect over discharge. and with any luck the bms will maintain balan...

If you guys would like some 3d printed kegel pulleys in abs i can knock a few up and send them if you cover shipping costs. I'm in Australia. let me know how many teeth you need. I'm just printing up one now to see how they run. it's a 40 tooth pulley. I won't be able to send them for another 2 week...

Re: Post Your Electric Longboard or Electric Mountainboard B

Finally knocked up a prototype without the duct tape. Its for the housemate to destroy while I make something better. 213kv motor. 2x 3s 5000mah lipos in series. Using the favorite 12s ESC and a 2.4ghz nunchuck. Goes alright but it's a little twitchy being such a short deck. Really agile though. htt...

Re: Best motor?

Unfortunately all the gear looks far too chunky to fit under a low clearance deck like the type I prefer to use.
I'm sure its nice gear.
But I'm happy with the brushless rc gear, And I prefer having to push off to get going. Reminds me I'm still on a skateboard.

Re: Rebuilding commuter board 5" Skikes, 18650 konions, VESC

May i ask what mods you did to the skike wheels to make them fit the axles? i know my axles aren't long enough.
i've got a set here waiting to go on and i can't decide on modding the wheels or the trucks.

That setup should be tearing along.
I would suggest an ESC issue or possible throttle calibration between controller and ESC?
Also check your pulley isn't spinning on the motor shaft.
