SOLD: Luna BBSHD Kit, 52V Wolf, 52V Mini Pack, Charger, etc...

SOLD I purchased all components new from Luna, except for the extra throttle and spacer kits which were purchased new from CA ebikes. I recently bought a Specialized Levo and stopped using the BBSHD, so it is time to sell. This kit only has 29.1 miles on it. The 52V Wolf pack has been charged 4 tim...

What's your argument for choosing the inverted fork over the Killahs?

spinningmagnets, BTW: the 219 Kart chain on ebay is about half the price of what Bachus asks[$40] I've never heard Mike suggest that he is some kind of discount barn. He is an inventor, not Walmart. Congrats on the cheap find, I can mail you a trophy. I bought the Small Block under the assumption t...

Re: My electric Triumph GT6

Interesting, thank you for the feedback. I had my doubts that the CA cells were less capable than the FIs they replaced. I've seen so many 'conservative' discharge rates, I just took it to be strange reality. Jack Rickard seems to be a valuable resource to the community and I'm inclined to believe h...

Re: kart buggy thing

Thank you! I was able to put a lid on CUNTS over the weekend, but due to space limitations it straddles part of the frame tubing that supports strut attachment. Its not perfect, but it should still serve its purpose. I supposed road testing will elucidate the severity of any vibrational issues. Here...

Re: I got a Corbin Sparrow! A very modded Corbin Sparrow

A good friend sent me a Zilla 2,000A HV controller  I'd say 'good' is an understatement... I also upgraded the pack to 25kWh.. I'm thinking 11"-13" motor externally mounted on the swingarm with a belt drive and a single very large dragster DOT cheater slick. ...

Re: Electric kart

That thing looks quick, 93km/h is fast to me. What top speed do you think is ideal? How does it compare to the gas karts in terms of acceleration?

Re: kart buggy thing

I was able to spend a little time this weekend on the kart. I'm hoping in another weekend or two it will be drivable. New brushes arrived! http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12115036/p5pb12115036.jpg Looking a little more complete. http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb12115038/p5pb12115038.jpg This is my attempt at...

They are 100Ah cells. The pack will be secured via CUNTS (Cell UNiform Tensioning System)

Re: kart buggy thing

For anyone considering a Chinese kart conversion, here are my musings from a year or so involvement in their respective milieu: Despite the many different names and model numbers, there are fewer unique configurations of these off road karts and I suspect they're all manufactured in China. Some of t...

Re: My electric Triumph GT6

Fantastic looking project, I really like the contrast of old classic styling and the newly innovated powertrain. You mention limiting current draw to 600A, what is the max discharge you've subjected them to thus far? I'm utilizing the same cells in my own project and I've read or have been told they...

Re: kart buggy thing

For fun/track /off road use it's hard to justify anything more sophisticated than a bunch of RCLipo for power/weight/ cost balance, and ease of assembly . I think you're exactly right. In my ignorance, I gave more consideration to pack capacity than pack weight and that just isn't befitting the nat...

Re: kart buggy thing

So true, money is the limiting factor . . . ok money AND my welding skills are the limiting factors  . I think the proper version of my build would involve a ME PM AC motor, a 550A servcon gen 4 and a pouch or 18650 pack. Put those goodies into an Aluminum golf cart frame and rebuild the rear e...

Re: kart buggy thing

I like the Samsung 25R, however my welding skills are not up to the task of creating a pack out of 18650s. You are right, the weight savings would increase the karts braking, turning, acceleration, range and power consumption. Maybe I should just put these prismatic cells in an electric tractor and ...
