Re: Bestechpower BMS

The E-switch does exactly that. You can turn the BMS/PCM battery pack ON/OFF using a small mechanical switch open = OFF, closed = ON. Pretty cool, saves on sparking connectors or pre-charge circuit. Draws practically nothing OFF. Thanks for the quick response. So I can put a waterproof on/off switc...

Re: Bestechpower BMS

Thanks for this thread. I'm really glad it is active! I'm planning a couple of 18650 battery packs a 13s5p and a 13s3p. I think this Bestectpower BMS http://bestechpower.com/481v13spcmbmspcbforli-ionli-polymerbatterypack/BMS-D245.html will do the job for our 48v BSS02 750w bikes. I would like to hea...

Broken chain on my 1st long ride.
I bought a new chain but I may have to spend a bit more on a stronger chain the 'next' time it happens.

Re: Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

C965 pinouts.JPG I don't know how to get this pinout to display... sorry. I received no replies from the vendor so I did a bit of testing today. It is a bad C965 display/switch. Controller/motor works with a second display (green wire from my bike's C965 to SWMBO's controller/motor). SWMBO's C965 d...

Check all your connections, make sure there isn't a bent pin.

Re: Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

Installed 2 BSS02 750w purchased 11/11 with 48v bottle batteries. The one on my 29in mtb works very nicely. I haven't changed the programming as I have not received the USB to Serial connector yet. SWMBO said my grin was huge when I got back from my first ride. Of course the 2nd unit, after installa...

Re: Amberwolf's DIY solar water heater

Mark-as, Have you tried the solar bubble floating mats for pool heating ? It is supposed to keep some of the heat from escaping at night, while helping warm the water from the sun, during the day. We 'bubble wrapped' the pool for a couple of years. The floating bubble wrap added 1 month on both sid...

Re: Amberwolf's DIY solar water heater

---snip--- but you'd have to stick a little pump in there (like I did in mine, but much smaller). --- snip--- It doesn't have to mvoe water quickly, just enough to keep the warm water going. Black pvc drip line coils on the roof, the 1/2" stuff that feeds the drip lines. Good idea. A small solar pa...

Re: Amberwolf's DIY solar water heater

Joined recently and found this thread and had a thought about thermo-siphoning. I read/saw a thermo ventilation system that used a tall chimney as the air exit. They mounted a metal plate on the East side of the chimney to get the air movement started in the morning. I wonder if a piece of copper pi...

Re: New Bafang Crank- DRives

11:11 Sales Newbie here. I'd like to thank Melbourne for the 11:11 sale reminder. I had been called in to work 11:11 and it was dead, so I read most of this thread (ouch!) and just before I got off work, at 11:45pm I saw Melbourne's post. I got home at 12:35 and placed an order (after waking SWMBO ...
