Just ordered €242 worth.
Will be very useful for when I want to make some temporary packs and reconfigure later.

Re: Genuine A123 AMP20 Module!
As I can see from Okashira pictures his cells are 2013. I have like 30 such cells sitting in my basement for over 5 years, they are all still above 3.2 V . removing cells from modules can be a pain with terminals welded but unlike in Nissan Leaf modules, A123 cells are not glued together. Mine were...

Re: Model 3 battery cell specs
I would love for you to be right. Awesome hotroding potential. Based on some more speculative estimates on my part, the Model 3 pack is probably capable of more power then even the P100D pack. Perhaps as much as 650kW in short bursts. Cells are up for it. Bondwires, contactors, connectors, couldn't...

Re: Model 3 battery cell specs
is the internal resistance already known? love to see discharge curves with temperatures. i am really interested how cool the cell can stay without active cooling. and more importantly: what are they going to cost if they hit the market... I suspect ~.00045 ohm per group or 0.043 ohm for the whole ...

Model 3 battery cell specs
I thought I'd share what I have learned so far of the Model 3 cells. Made by Panasonic in the USA (duh) 21700 form factor. 21mm diameter and 70mm length. 4.8Ah nominal. 3.65V nominal. Reduced cobalt and increased manganese in the cathode compared to previous generation Silicone in the anode like the...

Re: Is regen still possible with this kind of bms?
Yes, regen is possible, in fact, the BMS won't be able to stop it even if the cells go over voltage. That's the issue here. With a single port BMS, the regen would get cut off if the cells went over. With a two port BMS only the charge port turns off for over voltage. About the only way this would ...

Re: FS: Tesla Model S 18650 cells! Welded Packs! Panasonic; NCA
Just found this thread in my search for recycled Tesla cells. It's a great service you are doing for the ebike community. I am really curious to see the differences between the 3.1 Ah and 3.4 Ah cells. I would assume that the IR is higher in the higher capacity cells. Anyway, a pack like this seems...

200kwh in the roadster gets huge omgwtfbbq from me. Woulda been cool if they went with 140kwh and higher power cells and took off 200lb weight But I guess they wanna use all the same cells model 3 and roadster and model s. 200kwh is just over kill lol Even with the high density cells the pack on the...

Hi methods, I just saw your post - I have an AZD Transit Connect as well. It is not running. Appears to be a problem with the charging process. At the moment I am flying blind. I have a Kvaser CAN interface but I don't have all the AZD software. I downloaded the drivers from the link at EVTV site, ...

Hi! I would need two packs of made from tesla cells. Pack 1: 20s 8p - 160 cells Pack 2 20 5p - 100 cells What would be total cost shipped to Finland? The packs would need to be crated, shipped via sea freight - and you would need to pick up at your local port. Cost for shipping would be on the orde...

We have a huge improvement in custom pack quality on the way. We've built an industrial quality 3d printer and here is a peek at new cell holders and an early case design.. The material is Nylon 6/6, right off the printer. It will be even tougher after it's aged (absorbed moisture to equilibrium). ...
