Revolutionary BMS & Battery Interoperability Standard

Observing great progress on many fronts this 'group mind' puts its consciousness @ I consider it time to create the proper discussion thread for an Idea I have been pushing: https://prezi.com/qibqej3sqqy1/open-source-battery/  It is always sad to not see each cell of a battery treated to it...

Re: Rectifier Huawei R4850G2 48V 42~58V 3000w

There is a Chinese guy selling the programmer boards for about 12$ on Taobao https://2.taobao.com/item.htm?id=565948826876&ft=t&toSite=main If you are having difficulty ordering it then you can use a third party service like Taobao Focus. They will order it for you and ship it to you. https://buy.t...

Re: Rectifier Huawei R4850G2 48V 42~58V 3000w

Nice! Good thing I've already placed my order @dutchrfshop for one of these PSUs  And I've also ordered some ESP32 dev boards + TJA1050 CAN transciever from AliExpress and will be making open source firmware to control the PSU through CAN. With the ESP32 that means you could control the PS...

Re: Rectifier Huawei R4850G2 48V 42~58V 3000w

I am going to test pulling them down to GND and report! Huawei-R4850G2completePinout.png The good news is I connected the 2 board detection pins together and pulled them down to the negative 48V (GND) and that was all that was required to get the unit to power up and deliver the proud 53.5V output!...

I've a new video but isn't something cool. I had a crash and broke my Marzocchi 380. Re: Converting an inverter welder into a charger (and welder)

I would recommend something like this: Eaton APR48-3G Rectifier Module ... You can mod it to go as low as 42V (10S) and as high as ~90V (20S) I think there is a bit of disinformation in it too, because its not the APR48 that can go up to 90V, but this switch mode input booster that a certain motor ...

Re: transport friendly Adaptto charger -Eaton 1,8kW in Peli case

The charge mode of Adaptto controllers is a very nice feature because it makes it possible to use one charger (PSU + coil) for many vehicles with different battery configurations. I decided to use the Eaton APR-48-3G server PSU. Like the name says it has 48v nominal so it should be possible to char...

You can mod it to go as low as 42V (10S) and as high as ~90V (20S) All for about 100€ I like it, and already put one on order, found an original Eaton for little over €60 delivered; meanwhile I am also working on the Rectifi...

diy mobility solar versus the best available solutions

Be patient with this thread, it will probably take a long time to get to any real solution, other than for example that Laurin Hahn from Sono Motors comments that his solar polycarbonate surfacing on the first attractive solar car invented in Germany - is more economical than a good paint job! So th...

Sorry to use the number of knowledgeable observers here to ask about a different Crystalyte... Is it possible that the HS3525 uses inch based threads? I measure at the outside of the threads 12.5mm diameter, and ergo the M12x1.25 nuts I have don't fit! I did measure that the pitch is approximately 1...

Re: Series Parallel Battery & Open voltage controller

I'm sceptical a series/parallel switched system will give you any advantage over a permanent series configuration. The higher voltage controller should be able to output sufficient current to give you all the hill-climbing torque you need at low speeds by virtue of working likes a buck converter. W...
