Re: Cycle Analyst V2.4 w/Shunt Confusion

i dont think you need to use the 3 throttle wires for v2.4 CA, as your throttle will be directly connected to the controller. re pole count...maybe google your motor

Re: How to fix Backward and Forward feeling w/ CA3

I have a MAC 12T on a Infineon 6Fet 4110 w CA3. I have a 3 speed switch on controller AND another switch on the CA that I use for current limiting. The Controller switch 50%, 100%, 105% (anything over 103%-120% is the same from remember). The CA3 current switch works perfectly when using the Control...

Re: concerns about lipos

Test the individual cells on one pack via the balance leads with a multimeter. If they are all the same voltage on the pack, your buzzer is likely the problem.

If they are different voltages you could have faulty charger, connector, wiring or cell.

Re: Charger with storage profile?

eBike chargers generally don't have a "storage charger" option like RC Chargers do. Some chargers have 80% charge settings...which is a little above storage charger voltage. Grin's Cycle Satiator charger will allow you to create a profile that is the same as a storage charge. You'll just need to dis...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger + Eltek programming

Hi jean0, You're getting 0.36v as the DC output? For a 48v unit you should be getting 53.5v as default when connecting AC (with CAN disconnected). Alternately, the unit could be programmed for another default voltage within 43-5v-57.6v. Some units don't calibrate well, so if the voltage is programme...

I would have assumed these chargers would not be DC isolated? If they are DC isolated, then they will probably work. If they are not DC isolated, then they will short out?

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger + Eltek programming

Awesome Camon! Glad to hear you got it working. Here are the main difference in code: unsigned char setdefaultvolt[5] = {0x2B, 0x15, 0x00, 0x44, 0x16}; // (Old) setting the default output voltage unsigned char setdefaultvolt[5] = {0x29, 0x15, 0x00, 0x9C, 0x13}; // (New) 50.2V CAN.sendMsgBuf(0x05009C...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger + Eltek programming

Hi Camon, This code should set your flatpack temporarily to 50.2v and 14a. You need to change the serial numbers in two places. Upload to Arduino Leonardo and power the Arduino off/on. Then use the serial monitor to see status Example 04 1A 00 00 A3 13 F1 00 2C Temperature = 26 Current = 0.00 Output...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger + Eltek programming

Hi Camon, I've edited your code example with commands I used to set to 50.2v. When I try to set my flatpack to 57v in code, it actually goes to over-volt protection shuts down because it goes much higher. #include <mcp_can.h> #include <mcp_can_dfs.h> #include <SPI.h> const int SPI_CS_PIN = 17; // Se...

Re: ULtra Compact 1800W charger + Eltek programming

Hello Camon, I can see from previous posts you've checked the serial number is in your code...excellent. Have you tried some basic code that will just get the status from the canbus via Arduino? ie...is it talking? (There are some examples in this thread...but if you need me to repost, let me know)....

Re: Cycle satiator, EM3EV Battery charge

that's a 14s battery. So set Satiator for 100% full charge to 14 x 4.2v = 58.8v
Set to maximum Amps for Satiator to 8A. That large pack should easily take it. Satiator will automatically limit to 360w / battery-voltage. Approx 6.5A give or take.

Re: Ezee Expedir (Alfine) - configuring/programming

Thanks Amberwolf! I Finally got a chance to take a look at the bike in person. Turns out the LBS fixed the speedo issue with a firmware update. A second issue was the bike stopped powering at 20km/h. Turns out the bike had a slow wind motor (not sure how many turns). The solution was for the LBS to ...

Re: The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts

Hi Cj0, You could try lowering the amps? (some BMS will register fault if current is too high) Does your battery charge ok on another charger? (if not, then battery might be at fault) Does the battery charge ok, when only half discharged? (might indicate configuration issue of Satiator. Or BMS does ...

My friend has a new Ezee Expedir (Alfine) and is having trouble with the speedometer display. They’ve taken it back to the shop a few times. But still not fixed. Has anyone got the service manual for this bike? Anything on configuring the display or programming the controller? (All the links online ...

CA 3.1 External power Jack and lights issue

When connecting my lights to Cycle Analyst 3.1 DC power jack, my MAC motor will start turning intermittently (gittering?) like the throttle is being slightly pressed. I’m running 51V normal battery with 6-80V lights. Lights draw about 5W total. So within power rating. If I have only one light connec...

Re: Help me reinforce this DC to DC step up.

I'm running the 30a version of this boost converter as one of my main chargers. 48v input to 75.6v 13.2a output (1000w approx). I've blown 4 or 5 different converters for various reasons. So my own rules are: - Watch that input current. Factor in the conversion efficiency which is more like 90% for ...

3x HP DPS-750RB Charging with Boost Converter - any issues?

I’ve been using 3 x DPS-750RB in series connected to a boost converter charging at 74v 11Amps. I’ve managed to fry the DC grounded PSU (well it doesn’t power on anymore). This has happened twice now. I only noticed the PSU didn’t power on when I went to charge the next day. So now sure if I did anyt...
