Great result getting it running again. :thumb:
If you would be able to center the first sprocket after the motor and straighten the brake disk you could gain some efficiency I think.

If you use this thread to update your progress on the bike, I will follow.
Seeing your other builds I have faith that it will turn out great and this might be a guide for me in the future when I can get my hands on a second hand one of these bikes

Just want to be safer as this is a bafang BBS02B Motor system and the throttle has some lag If you are still using the stock settings on your BBS02B then it will be a great improvement to reprogram it with the programming cable and custom settings. Re: Solar Catrike Road conversion

Against all odds, Michel Mercier convinced me to help him convert his Catrike Road into a Solar trike! That will be a nice conversion :thumb: The only thought I have is the height of the solar panels. If you can place them lower it will be safer in strong winds trying to tip the trike and trailer o...

Give some more information as far as what your goals are. what type of terrain? How fast, how far etc.
I just want something to ride on the street, and a little bit of wheelies and im not sure what a good range is but maybe 15miles.
Buy a Sur Ron Light Bee.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Hi. Polychain is still the best belt for this even profile not correct. I have been testing optibelt regular (35km), opti hp (160km), polychain 750 km before break down. I ve been riding full throttle max power offroad hard conditions. Normal user can ride with polychain easily 2-3tkm That's why th...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

My guess is ease of manufacture. The large pulley appears to be made with a CNC router, the tooth profile being round because of the router bit. A polychain profile would require a broaching process wouldn't it? As the big pulley wheel is made out of plastics it should be possible to use a very sma...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

But why do you guys use a non MGT profile with a MGT belt? Belt does not have the round tooth profile but you have round teeth on the pulley. You are right Alex, I didn't realize it at first, the top of the pulley teeth are squared off. The belt is rounded there. Good catch. No I don't think that i...

Re: Putting together a starter e-handcycle, know nothing about bikes

I've been searching for a community that might be able to help me with this project, and I hope someone here can help. I think a mid drive unit like a TSDZ2 with torque sensor would be ideal for you on that handbike: TSDZ2 mid drive torque sensor.jpg See this thread about the motor on the handbike:...

Re: Razor e300 heritage scooter mod heavy.

Great work again! But why is the chain tensioner on the pull side? That will put a lot of stress on it and result in heavy wear. If possible I would advise to put the tensioner on the under side and make it spring loaded to keep the chain tensioned when "stretched and slacking" by the torq...

The link you posted doesn't work as it puts the E-S site in front of it. Nice looking bike and a smart 2 speed gearbox! Any more info/specs on that box and maybe even a possibility to buy those seperately for home builders? It reminds me a bit of the Oset bikes: https://osetbikes.com/au/bikes/new-20...

Re: Electric outboard 6kw Flipsky 65161

Great project. I'll follow your findings regarding the props. I just bought a 24V (brushed) trolling motor that I intend to run from my 14S (52v) ebike battery. A PWM controller with a max setting of 50% will hopefully work in running the motor without overheating it. But using it on a small and lig...

Doesn't your Bultaco have a key switch already? If not, you can get a secondhand one at a breaker from a scooter or moped. It is just a switch so a hidden switch somewhere is also an option.

Hi Fellow EV Enthusiasts! I did a quick internet search hoping to confirm my suspicions, but instead I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG7sEFBNiSQ So yeah... doesn't look like it's a motor limitation. For the record, I was having a lot less fun than that guy when mine blew up ;) Welcome...
