Re: Looks like an LMX Copy

Wow the 2018 Mrazek RevX looks amazing quality. But that will come at a serious price I suspect. Good to see such great developments though.

Re: Ebike Hub Motor overheating cooling solution - HUBSINK OFFICIAL THREAD

I have no experience with this motor or ferrofluid so you'll have to email Grin and ask them. Maybe someone on here knows the unloaded wattage of this specific motor without FF?

I did this to a 9C hub motor. It only needed one side and 7mm milling to fit but I liked that better than expanding the aluminium swing arm of my bike.

Re: Hot-setting 6061 Frame

If you will go to a single speed then just mill the axle flats further so you make the drop out width of the axle smaller. Are you saying to bore into the swingarm as to make the axle inside of it basically? Not really down on removing material from the already weak link in a chain No. Remove the a...

Re: Ebike Hub Motor overheating cooling solution - HUBSINK OFFICIAL THREAD

Got the Hubsinks on my hub/wheel. The "remove one spoke" technique worked well. You're welcome  I wonder if there is a way to tell if I have lost the Ferrofluid. Do you have a Cycle Analyst on your trike? If so, just lift the rear wheel off the ground and see what the power consumption (Amps/...

I search, I search... Don't keep searching but send the people in those threads who have used this motor in their builds a personal message asking for more info. Or just buy a Cyclone 3kW kit with build in reduction: http://www.cyclone-tw.com/2chkit.html More info here: https://endless-sphere.com/f...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Why don't you search this forum for the 80100 (80-100) motor and contact the people who have used them to get some real world experiences and data? The 6-7kW rating is only peak performance and the continuous rating will probably be around 2-2.5kW.

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Just buy the 80100 with 50kV and see if you can eliminate one reduction stage. That will reduce cost and losses. Alien Power seems to have this motor on sale (backorder, up to 6 weeks): http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/brushless-motors/c80100-outrunner-brushless-motor-50kv-6000w/ BTW, as you don't h...

Re: Ebike Hub Motor overheating cooling solution - HUBSINK OFFICIAL THREAD

You can probably get them in by removing 1 spoke. Just let the air out of the tire, unscrew the nipple and remove it, gently bend the spoke till you can get it out of the rim and rotate it out of the way. Then slide in all of the hubsink parts through the "hole". Re-attach the spoke in reverse. Good...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike group buy EU

If only there was a price on that website for the Light Bee (according to Sur-Ron themselves, not Fire Fly).
When looking at the pre-order price in the USA of $3475.- that would mean €2850,- for us in Europe. And that would mean a lot of sales I think 8)

But the info I could find about the ME1507 IPM motor online says: Continuous power: 17kW, Peak power: 44kW (so still not 50kW... )
I do hope you'll update this thread once in a while and maybe even make a ride video when done. Good luck finishing your bike!

Is it me, does that crank look like it’s too far back? Guess that thing is smallish and yer arse is more in the back of the seat, not in that curved part. Maybe that it’s right on the rear tire. Prob less noticeable with the bike tires. Just looks funny to me. It looks funny and too far back becaus...

I'd rather have a bike that is road legal so you can ride in more area's. A LMX registered as a moped: http://www.lmxbikes.com/en/full-lmx-bike/88-lmx-161-moto-freeride.html If you want motorcycle speeds a KTM E-SM or a E-SX would be great: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=24804290...

Great work. And you're right about the added complexity of individual brakes at all wheels when using freewheels.
I do hope this board will inspire you to build a 2.0 version with a separate drive unit (4x5kW  ) and brake for each wheel

Re: Andre´s GSXR 1000 K2 with QS Motor 273 80H, 34kW

It seems you have enough room on top of the swing arm just in front of the rear tire to add a "mid"drive motor with a chain to the hub motor. That motor would also put some extra weight on the rear tire. A used motor and controller from a Zero motorcycle would be perfect. But even a 110V brushed mot...
