Re: QSMOTOR,0.5-12kW Electric Hub Motor & Mid Drive Motor Manufacture China

Speaking from my experience of >40 years motorbike driving and repairing, I would say: the spokes should be spread over the circumference more regularly. Your gaps are too wide. And in all those >40 years have you ever tried to lace such a large diameter hub motor in a 19" rim...? I think it i...

Re: Low Speed, High Torque Hub Motor?

He wants high torque but will use 7.5A max
And he links to a motor that will take a peak of 35A.
If that is the type of motor that can fulfill his needs, he'll have to get the matching controller and suitable battery pack to go with it.

so, yeah, 250W, and I think for her, a thumb throttle (her fingers are somewhat deformed) rather than a twist. sigh, I bet nobody makes sub-20" wheels with hub motors for cheap. Just get a 12", 14" or 16" cast wheel with integrated geared 250W hubmotor (I hope the links work?): ...

Re: Low Speed, High Torque Hub Motor?

I started looking for 48V, to be honest. By calculations, it seems my application could work with the 48V. I tried to use 7.5A for each motor as this is the highest amps I will be using on each one and I reduced the speed to 1m/s which is around 3.5km/h as this is ideal for me too. Now I will have ...

Re: Low Speed, High Torque Hub Motor?

As you can't seem to be bothered explaining in more detail what you are building it is very hard to guess what is best for your application... Probably a GMAC 12T motor in the smallest wheel/rim you can fit it into. But then you'd need a controller that will work with 24V and at high amps. Maybe a w...

Look at my post a little higher on this page. A double reduction geared hubmotor for a wheel barrow might work for you.

3 laps today of that 20km track, with charging between each lap. Holy shit, I have never done 60km in a day before  I can imaging that the time it took to charge in between laps was very welcome to "charge yourself" by resting a bit... Please make a video of a lap for us some time 8)

Both these motors can be pushed way above specification.
QS motors were also my first thought but I suspect that the 36V battery packs can't supply the amount of amps that those motors can handle...

Re: Help choosing motor for pit bike converions

You'll have to connect the batteries in series (not parallel) to get 72V.
As for a motor that will fit and get you that speed for that price maybe look at these:

I'll be following your progress. Good luck and enjoy building.
