Re: 100% discharge rate capacity
Hi goatman, today I returned to this thread and I must say it is unbelievable how far can one misunderstandig go... Your problem is simple. You totally misunderstood and misrepresented the data in datasheet. You have no idea what it is about and for what. Those datasheets are useful only if You unde...

Re: Upgrading a DPV Battery
Wh is calculated Ah x Voltage. Real life Ah would be little lower value, let us say 3,3Ah. 3,3x13=42,9Ah x 25,2V = 1081Wh. How much current does it consume during dive or what is the wattage of the motor? This is important before making cell choice.

Re: Basic BMS question-no separate charge/load terminals?
BMS will loose its function if charge/load paralelled. The diodes would work. The point is charge port can only block charging and load port can only block discharging. BMS with common charge/discharge port would be best solution.

8,5Ah is capacity. BMS is rated for current. Chose the BMS according to how many amps are You going to draw from Your battery.

Re: Help BMS connections
Battery plus goes directly to charger and load. You only connect B- (battery minus), C- (charger minus) and P- (power-load minus) to the board. BMS is getting plus from the balance wires. They should be chcecked twice and connected last.

Re: A solution to charging Li-ion in freezing weather: Testing an outdoor temperature-controlled charging system.
If the battery is frozen, it will take some time to warm up to its core. Because You don´t have temperature sensor inside the battery, the easiest way to sort this out is to delay the charging after the temperature inside the chamber reaches "warm enough". The delay should be longer if the...

Either fuse each cell or don´t bother at all... It is there to prevent parallel cells discharge to damaged (shorted) cell in the group.

Re: 14s3p Battery Build <how's this look?>
This battery is definitely underrated for use in 1000W system. What controller are You going to use? How many amps would it draw?
Systems with 1000W DD are often set up to 30A. If Your battery should live any longer use it at 10-15A max.

I would clamp it with some piece of wood... If any good maybe change to aluminum piece later... Or clamp it between two water cooled heatsinks - the best option
Don´t forget heatsink compound...

Yes, there are separate wires soldered parallel to + and - (not visible on photo). I will add a connector (XT60) to connect it to capacitors outside the housing. This way the wires could be short but there will be no problem with disassembling.
