Re: Observed trials bike designing

Picked up barely used Vertigo R2 300 in october. 68 kilos and 26Kw 52Nm @crank, what a petrol beast! By my calculations this translates to 1800Nm wheel @1st gear minus 3-4% for the gearbox and the chain drive losses. Clutch drops on the 2nd and 3rd feels brutal even at mid RPM. Injector mapping goes...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

If you do the automatic detection and not step by step it does not work better? No, it is the same. Looks like DCR and Flux linkage measurements are correct: 4-5 mOhm, ~0.02 Wb? Only inductance fail. PITMIX, if I am not mistaken, you have Nuc + QS138 too. Can you share your measurements of d,q, and...

Can you tell d, q values for QS 138 70H?
I can set them manually for now.

Even if I save settings before restart, after restart it runs normal again.
BTW, how to change menu language?

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

" you probably have nothing to do now" well no, we are working on bugfixes. 24f v0.8.5 Not sure is it a bug or not, but after I do Motor LR auto-setup on my QS 138 70H the inductances d and q are still zero. And right after auto-setup the FOC mode runs very noisy at low RPM and the Trapez...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Guys, anyone tried the Sur-ron version of the Nuc 24f controller on non Sur-ron bike?
I have found the pinouts from another Sur-ron direct replacement controller (Sintech).
If I connect Halls and Throttle to the 9PIN connector and Ignition (3rd pin) to the 8PIN connector,
will it be enough to run it?

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

You can see there is no release delay under the load:
https://streamable.com/3bwxfc

If you hit the throttle at no load it will instantly overshoot over the max RPM and then any throttle input will be ignored until it falls under the max RPM. You can see the actual throttle on the dashboard screen.

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

Can you show me your settings? Because I think I tried everything to get rid of it and didn’t succeed.. It was unridable like this. It the same as I have posted earlier in this thread. I have only limited the max RPM and turned on motor braking. If Throttle rate is maxed out to 224 it is instant re...

This is the worst controller I every used in my life! The throttle delay is ridiculously dangerous!!
With Throttle rate maxed out, I did not feel any delay at all on my QS120.
On throttle release it's instantly free wheeling with motor braking and recuperation turned off.

Re: Observed trials bike designing

Indeed. I should soon be receiving my first shipment of a new flywheel/clutched, brushless e-trials bike, claimed peak 10kw, around 42kg. Interesting, is it a new company? do you have a link? I would assume it does not have the standard trials 21"/18" wheels+tires, shock and fork, or 42kg...

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

Yes, it is with no load or in low traction like mud or snow. If the wheel sleeps it'll spin like a mad dog. Today I have tested it on snow, it is hell crazy comparing to the old Kelly on the same current settings. Low RPM, Mid RPM params should provide limiting points as I was told, but it does not ...

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

ECO is slightly better, Sport is even worse as expected. I believe it is the speed loop issue, throttle curve will not solve it. ~2000 no load RPM on 1.5% throttle is insane. I am in contact with the engineer through aliexpress seller i have bought the controller from. All the things he suggested so...

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

I've tested 72530 on my trials bike with the QS120 motor. It works well with the same parameters I posted earlier for the QS138. At a first glance it looks more effective than my old Kelly, and the throttle response is very fast. The only problem I cannot figure out is the throttle position only lim...

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

I have found actual RPM reported in android software is incorrect, it is 5/4 higher than actual RPM. Looks like they messed up coil/magnet pair in calculation. So to limit RPM to 7000 I have to set maxRPM to 8750. Also plots in android app are all over the place and completely unrelated to the real ...

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

QS preprogrammed this settings for me for the same motor as yours and it run smooth and accelerates pretty fast at no load at least. So you should definitely give it a try. It is 4 poles in the settings. I do not have a clue why, but that is the way it was set up and it works. Also battery current l...

Re: Observed trials bike designing

I've got a Nucular 24f, I think it's absolutely fantastic. Votol/Kelly/etc are absolute trash in comparison. Specifically its ability to 500 phase amps into a dead stalled motor reliably is difficult to replicate in any other controller that I'm aware of. You can precisely configure the ramp rate o...

Re: QS 138 70H with Gearbox

Anybody have a wiring pinout for the hall sensor, thermals, and motor power phase? All the QS mid drives i have seen are pretty straightforward. YGB wires from 6-pin connector goes from hall sensors. Black is ground, Red is the +5V and the rest if present is the KTY temp sensor. Actual hall sensor/...

I believe any brand name sprockets with proper 17-14/4mm splines will be good fit, but cannot confirm since I did not received the motor yet. The smallest sprockets I have found online that should fit on paper are 12T for #428 and 11T for #420. If anyone aware of high quality small #428, please let ...

Re: QS 138 70H with Gearbox

no sprocket will last long term with sloppy fit due to the grinding created so the sprocket slop is the main issue and not the spline size. Sure, but it will get even worse with less contact point of a smaller spline. And if I want maximum reduction I have only seen chinese 9T-11T #428 or #520 with...

Re: QS 138 70H with Gearbox

I wonder why they changed output shaft from 20mm to 17mm splines while torque almost doubled? Bearing clearance?
Considering 20mm splines does not hold well on non geared QD 138 with sloppy fit chinese sprockets, 17 mm does not look good.
