Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm in progress of switching my build over to the open source firmware and the KT-LCD3 display. I'm searching for the pinout map for the 8 pin connector to the motor controller on the TSDZ2. I've searched and found maps of wire colors against controller functions but the only way to use that is to ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

billm, So, your unit works up to 58.8v but cuts out after riding 10-15 miles? It sounds like voltage sag is a possible problem when the battery is getting partially drained... if the LVC is 45, and when you put the battery on the charger it was 53ish... I'd say that's resting voltage which is a bit ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You might need to flash fresh 52v profiles - I sent you the link. I dont know its worked for some people fine to manually edit, even someone the other day, but most people seem to have to flash a whole new file. You will know when you try it on a fully charged 52v. Keep in mind, the LVC for the 52v ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yeah, if I just plug in my programming cable it works, but if I plug in an extension to reach my bike from the laptop easily, then it doesn't work. Remove the extension cable, works again, so a long cable degrades the signal too much it would seem...

Re: New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

Motor noise, less. Cadence, maybe a tad higher, about the same. Weight, a tad higher, not by much. Re: New "Lingbei MM28.250 torque sensor mid drive"

Here is a diagram of how the Lingbei Torque Sensing works. It was already posted actually, it looks The new programming is much better. I'll have some here shortly! Yaay. Better torque sensing and 22-23 amps makes a lighter weight BBS02 model in my book. I dont run them over 23 amps anyway, so its p...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Guys, I got TSDZ2 750w 48v with vlcd5. All was excellent until 150 km. Now at low speed (smaller than 10km/h), I get 99km/h speed error and the engine disconnects. The engine gets connected back when hitting 10km/h+ and all is good. This very bad because I can no longer climb hard slopes. I do n...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, What about with the original firmware, is there a setting I could change to always start in turbo mode? I like to wire a switch for the coaster brake models, and use it without a display or speed sensor, so there is only 1 wire to the battery for a real clean setup. Without display it has the h...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Thanks Casainho and other for a great job you are doing with the open source firmware. I would like to ask if we can program TSDZ2 with power signal on in turbo mode from the begining? That way we can test it without use of any LCD. No, it is being developed to use only with LCD3. Although I like t...

This is the number of available assist levels, max number is 9. 1: assist level factor: this...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi all, my controller is demaged and I am trying to remove it. Opened the engine and it does not come out. Is it screwed to the right side, behind the chain ring or it is being held by cables ? Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Interesting connector ideas. I love that ebiketech.de website... I remember drooling over the BBS compatible CAv3 he makes... Sooooooo clean. The only thing is the single connectors are kind of pricey. I've been saving a bunch of spare 6 and 8 pin connectors, both male and female, but not near enoug...

Sorry I'm not sure I understand what you are saying about "PSW power shop seems a reference one"? Plenty of options available outside of PSW... They definitely are not the best source for TSDZ2... A decent source for certain parts at a reasonable price, but they are limited in their model types and ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, Understood, thanks for the clarification. I misread the brake part - I thought it stated you needed the 5v for the magnet sensor, but it was the hidden wire sensor - my mistake. Seems all good less the possible pre-installed metal gear, no biggy at all. Glad you got that started... I'm working o...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

EDIT: Reading more into it (I tunnel visioned in on that quote) it seems it's just the open source code, and it will be available and anyone is free to copy/modify/do what they want with it? Yes and I would like to ask that your firmware will be shared on github as current one is. And it must kept ...
