Re: HPC Montague / Hummer bike frame bag

Hi Rollodo, Thanks for the review. I think you have installed the rear straps incorrectly. They are actually very strong and the best we have tested out of many cam buckles. You have to come up from the back side with the strap through the middle hole, and then out through the clamp hole... One str...

Re: NEW HPC Frame Bag for Montague Folding Bikes!!!

Wow I'm getting a bag right now, it has been so much trouble trying to find a battery placement solution for my paratrooper pro.

You said you had improved the riding position,,may I ask what changes you implemented?

Re: Oil cooling your hub- NOT snake oil!

On another note: I put 50ml of shimano hydraulic oil in my new Mac 8t. First try was without sealing the motor and I had big leaks on the first run, most likely because the mac isnt exactly a piece of high precision work. BUT, going wot 57v/40ah the motor stayed at 70C instead of the usual 90C after...

Re: Sticky thread index for "E-bike Technical"

I am going to use soybean oil in my 3540 motor . Safeway vegetable oil. $5 for two quarts. This is the oil used in high power transformers. Tested all over the world . No toxic (food grade). In case it leaks will do no harm to pets or people ! Put some in the freezer it did not freeze solid. Had th...

Re: Pros and cons of these different Infineon controllers?

Honestly, all you need is a 6FET controller for the MAC motor at 48 volts. The 3077FET can handle 210 amps peak each, and have a realy low Rds. So a 6 FET controller with IRFB3077 FETs can handle 40 battery amps. The 3077 FET is more efficent than the 4110 FET, but it runs at lower voltages. The on...

Re: Quality Thumb Throttles

Like many, I'm struggling to get the shimano shifter, hydraulic brake and throttle on my handlebar. I've not seen any pretty solution. I've cut off most of the plastic off my cheap hall effect throttle to make the shifter pass, but it's not very waterproof anymore :-). I'm surprised no company has ...

Re: Luna Cycles Fat Bike

I cannot find any mention of this bike anywhere else.. Anyways, it would be excellent for mounting a chain drive system + batteries, or just a lotta batteries. The wheelbase is super long too. This is really an ideal ebike frame, i'd run regular tires on it of course, prolly 29ers.. Yea and that su...
