Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

It's in this thread, i added resistors in the potentiometer lines to offset the starting voltage and end voltage of the throttle. Yes I tried and it works partially but on heavy deceleration the controller cut-off. My guess is the controller recognizes these fast changes of the resistance as a thro...

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

I am experimenting issues just powered up the Votol 150 controller with the QS 3000 mid motor. At the beginning only "undervoltage" error appeared, after some tests also other two errors appeared: "Controller Fault" and "Hall Fault". mysettings_error.PNG The problem seems to have been solved using a...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

Couldn't get the bike moving today. I checked for faults and it seems controller is busted. It doesn't read correct voltage and "undervoltage" error and "controller failure" is shown. After something like 50 on/off attempts finally controller turns on correctly. It loses the voltage reading again a...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

I only had a few houses to work to my e-trial but some progress has been made 8) I used 2 5mm metal plates to fix the motor on the frame. - On the motor cog side I soldered the plate dirctly to the frame for provides maximum strength. - On the other side I fixed the plate with 4 6mm bolts. In this w...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

You're probably right ee291, did i have it backwards.. Is it like this?: Speed controller , voltage is controlled so the requested throttle gives you corresponding voltage to the motor with possibly max current, kv*volt rpm is reached. Torque controller, current is controlled so it gives correspond...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

Very nice rebuild. The QS motor should be better up to the task. Are you using the gearbox of the ice engine? the gearbox came from the original 50cc engine (cut out with a metal saw). I already successfully used it with revolt motor at the half kw and about the same power. It seems to be more soli...

Guys, can you please confirm whether the motor comes with such (sprocket type) axle by default or it needs to be customized by QS?
I asked QS for 420#, I recived the ones in the picture above,
Sorry but I have no idea if it is the default axale or not

Ok, thanks! :D I will get one with a chain sprocket. Could you post a pic of the axle interface? I wonder how easy it will be to eventually replace the sprocket or get a selection of sizes. Did they have 219 chain sprockets? You best email to qs they make the axle like you want for me they make it ...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

Are you scrapping the gearbox? 420 10-100 gearing is still 2.5x more torque than i have.. Do you need more? I think to put the motor in to a different bike frame. I have an old Aprilia Climber frame (unfortunately without the gearbox) that could be a good choice (instead of using my 50 cc Derbi Sen...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

I am fabricating a new mount for the motor. I bet all but the sideplates could be 3Dprinted with enough strength,...

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

I just joined to the qs 3000w motor owner club! :D I choose the 10 tooth 420 driven sprocket, relying to Lars and Bionincon build it should be a fine bot for off-road (with a 70 tooth sprocket) and road (with a 50 tooth sprocket) with a 18" wheel. In case I can always change the sprocket with a bigg...

QS suggest Votol 150, probably is the best for plug & play....if it works..... :flame:

Re: Rieju 50cc conversion

You'll like it! It's miles away from the crappy revolt motor. I think you'll need a new controller also, since kV is at 75 you'll want something capable of 500A phase to get things moving. With your gearbox the actual downgearing won't be an issue i guess. The QS3000W and EM150S is quite nice combi...

Re: Kelly KEB KEB72801 Problems

Just destroyed my KLS72300S controller sending a write command during motor run.

How can be possible that they do not put a software limitation to avoid to destroy the 200$ controller buy sending a simple write command ???? Probably it can be done with less than 10 line of code WTF!
