10s3p ESkate Battery Build Overview Video

Hey, I thought i'd post this quick overview video of a battery I just finished for a customer. In doing some research, there were people making batteries in all sorts of different ways. I chose this layout for better current share, faster build time and having the terminals at the same point as each...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Hey \ (•◡•) / , thanks for the links, good to know there is an adaptor out there. But aiming for a clean and simple solution going forward I decided to go back to square tapers for the alphas. This way I get 48t or whatever I want single speed chain ring on 130bcd (5 point chainring) and still keep ...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Great videos, cant go wrong with ebikes n guns! heheh. Finally got around to fitting some parts today. More incompatibility issues Grr! For Mxus v3. I have 12t single speed freewheel that uses the 1/8 x 1/2 chain "single speed chain". No worries. The cranksets I am hoping to use are the 2 piece shim...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Hey IanM, when you talk about extra long chainstay length.. did you lengthen it, or are you referring to this just being an affect of the mid drive positioning. I notice your seat frame is angled back a bit. Is this because your a big dude, or because of other adjustments...? Moving on, I just finis...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Two pics of the x-fusion in the beta... quick measure it looks like from axle to bottom of steerer tube are about same dimensions as usd8... which sounds good to me, maybe not so much if you are looking for a lower ride height. http://leeashby.com/files/lashebikes/lashebike-beta-x-fusion1.jpg http:/...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Wow nice work on getting a BBSHD in there Ian. that will be great to get your thoughts on the ride improvement without the heavy hub. Yeah Hyena - there is straight steerer option ;-) I know straight steerers are hard to come by, so thought i'd let the group know. I don't have it on a bike yet - onl...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Just a heads up for those in Australia especially - these forks could be a good option for your FUTR BETA https://www.cyclingdeal.com.au/buy/x-fusion-vengeance-hlr-coil-bicycle-fork-27.5-trav/OT-FK-XF-PP I just picked up a set, and they look and feel impressive. Light weight, some adjustments and pl...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Hey \ (•◡•) / I hear you, I think the quality of the FUTRs could be improved so users get a better out of the box experience in putting them together. Having said that, nothing has been a deal breaker for me and the frames Ive dealt with so far (6). The most time consuming is the bottom bracket fitm...

Re: AUS ally rims - still here.

Thanks RTL for supplying the rims and ozman and others for the spoke calcs for the mxus 3000w motor, i went with 128mm spokes as suggested, laced them up and then had them trued and tensioned in the shop. Excellent result. The inner spokes are at about their limit though. Which is fine, but if anyon...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Well done on finishing your build CD. You are getting some insane power levels through it. About the tuning - sounds like you and Rix are on the right track. One thing I have found to be key is to experiement with the phase wire combos. I have noticed that swapping at least one pair (randomly) has a...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

My god CD you surely make it hard on yourself. for what its worth i run a 19" 2.75 shrinko SR241, it fits perfect with about 5mm spare on either side of the frame, which is good for wobbly rims down the track. For me putting 7-8kw into it I never get wheelspin in the dry at least so everything is tr...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

using a clutched rear derailleur and or a narrow wide crank chain ring could also help with chain retention.. Ahh yes I did read about the narrow-wide chain rings, sounded like a gimmick to me, but maybe there is some truth in there?.. From memory i initially steered from the high end derailers pur...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

So after looking online for a tensioner around the main chainring, it seems I am out of luck, as the biggest ones i can find only go up to about 42t. Most stop at 38t. (I have 48t) So looks like I have to get a custom-made one, anyone with a CNC router machine? I suspect you could make a fair few an...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

I think I might have blown my BMS up. I was hooking it up to the pc for the first time, and wanted to test it all before i put shrink wrap over the battery. Anyway the metal USB end touched the positive terminal of the battery. creating a nice spark! I assume this sent 58v and a truck load of amps t...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thanks for that info CD. As he is using existing controller with lowish amps (75a from memory) i think 10p of samsung 30qs should be no problem at all. And ample range, ill do a final design check incase i can make it 12p, but its all a trade off anyway for weight/cost etc. I need to be able to make...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Looking good. Yah, your rear rotor is on backwards. I see you are using a geared hub. What kind of power are you looking at running? I was thinking of trying a Mac 10 on 16s with a 40amp controller, oil cooling, and using a steel gears. 2600w in a lightweight reliable package should make for a good...
