Re: My FUTR Ebike build

Looking good, they are some nice forks I believe.
I'm not sure you'll fit a 7 speed on there, as you've listed but theres a few options out there. Whats the bike in the background. I'm interested in something similar down the line for cruising.

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Damn Cheeko thats a nice battery if it fits in well. certainly giving me ideas for my next future builds. I'd be interested to hear more about the Nuclear controller and how it all goes. I remember looking them up a while ago. Looks like they are coming out now hey. Even the 6f appears to hit some o...

Re: High Power Battery 2kWh (20S-9P) for Flux Beta Frame

Great work fellers, just wanted to chime in and say this is a great resource for battery building and problem solving in general, but of course specifically for the BETA frame. These huge batteries will make these bikes real long distance tourers or as you guys are proving pretty mental machines spe...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Thought you guys might be interested in my ebike rack for carting two heavy ebikes around behind your car / 4x4. I started with a quality motorbke carrier from ebay (in australia). Its an MC400A model. (~$175) Then I added a C section channel of aluminium ($50)for the second bike where the ramp tray...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

So, a couple of questions, assuming that I am using the 5 speed: 1. Is anything fundamentally incorrect with the above? 2. Is there an easier rear derailleur system, e.g. using a Shimano 7 speed trigger shift with adjusted stops, or a modern 6 speed system? thanks! A 5 speed is a good choice, as it...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Nice vid Lee, I don't know what Stealth did, but the P7R is fast. My Beta has a 12s battery, Mac10, and 30 amp controller running a 24"MTB wheel. Its top speed is 25MPH and gets there quick. Stealth is very tight lipped about their motor and controller combo for the P7R, but I know for a fact the b...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Epic Battery build CD. Thats huge! What a long ranger. I just did a quick edit of a little spin I went on today on the BETA MAC 12t. It actually goes a bit faster than I thought now that I gave the battery a good charge so 45-50 on the flat is achievable, even with little hills and wind, it really w...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Loving the hot green grips n pedals. Really gives a unique look. That will be a very fast bike! Hopefully that rear rim is up to the challenge with the heavier v3. Does your front wheel clear the controller? Looks mighty close, I'm so keen to get my powervelocity controller powered alpha up n runnin...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

I cant see your pics cheeko... I went for a spin today, ended up with a pretty gnarly flat spot on the rear rim, think i was hitting some rocks are bit harder than usual today, plus I think my pressures were down a bit, so good reminder to keep that rear pumped up! I think my mxus v2 is getting a bi...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Basically finished off a '1500w' hub build. - I still have to wire in the key and a breaker, but a recent test ride went well and I have a nice little ride on my hands. It just has a basic 35A controller at the moment, and the motor stays luke warm to touch so it has plenty of headroom for some twea...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

There are some reasonable looking motorbike carriers on ebay that look like they could do the trick quite well. Ive been dreaming of making a double ebike carrier, in a similar design as the ones you guys have posted. Carring two bikes like that would be pretty awesome. I like the locked in tie down...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thought I'd make a post to help anyone else who may have a bung screen and replace it with another second hand unit. I managed to buy an older second hand screen (green sides) and installed it on my '2015/2016' vintage max-e that has the black sides on the display. Turns out they are compatible, the...

the battery is made up of 200 LG HG2 cells in spacers for a total of a 84v 30ah pack, the pack was welded with a arduino spot welder v3 with .3mm nickel strip and reinforced with 2.3mm solid copper which was tinned and then soldered on at 480 celcius for only 2-3 seconds then cooled with an ice wat...

Re: Adaptto parts (France - Europe)

Hi, Im in Australia (Bendigo, Victoria).
I'd be interested in one of the displays with working buttons.

My display is fine, except for one down button not working.

Hopefully shipping is not too bad for this small piece.

Thanks,
Lee.

Thanks cd. I have a bionicon C . Eco guide for that part of the chain, which certainly helps but I think I need a guide as the chain enters the main cog. So at the top. I have a guide that goes on the BB behind the crank, theres a slider adjuster thing that I'll need to the a bit longer out of alumi...

It's been a long time (school days) since I've used CAD, so it will be good to have a play around and get up to speed with all this new technology. So yeah, if you can send the step files that would be fantastic. either by email lee@leeashby.com o...

Excellent work and thanks for the 3d PDF. I have a 2009 Giant Glory, I originally bought it for the FOX suspension for my FUTR Alpha build. Adaptto Display Wanted

Hi, I'm looking for a replacement Adaptto display. It's for a Max-E controller, I think the display is universal though... I'm in Australia. Bendigo, Victoria. My down button doesn't work, and I cant seem to fix it. So a replacement display I think is the best option. Let me know what you've got and...

Has anyone else done anything like this yet for their Alpha? I know Lash made a similar pack a while back, but can't recall if it was 14p like this. Hey CD, my pack was 20s10p the cells were nested together but only 5 wide i think from memory. I like simple packs so you can build fast. 14s14p is 19...
