Re: Brushless motor efficiency

That happens on some motors in regards to heat. Those motors are designed to be air cooled basically. At 25kw, the RC airplane is flying at 200mph or something like that. :) You will not get 25kw out of it at bike speeds. 25kw is probably a short peak and not a continuous rating anyway, based on ho...

Re: Toyota Prius A/C Compressor Motorbike: The Bike of IPM Motor Science

We are making E-Kart prototype with IPM motor. We need the best available acceleration from 40 to 60kmh, top speed would be 80kmh. Is it better to gear it to 80kmh without Flux weakening or gear it to 40-50kmh and apply field weakening to go up to 80kmh. Which scenario has the best acceleration in n...

Do you have controllers in stock and any estimate when you release 18 or 24f versions? Before next summer?

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

This can't be run with those LMX/Denzel motors? Like these: http://www.eastgem.net/images/m3000.jpg http://www.eastgem.net/d4500.html Is it cause high impedance or rough signal in these motors? EDIT: Oh I saw this :"Hall filter programmed in my controllers." So it could work now? Even with 10kw peak...

Re: Lipo Wiring Parallel and Series Simultaneously

Yeah I think the bulk charger could be the best option. BMS-Battery has some options for 20s but I'm not 100% guaranteed of their quality. Would rather take 2x meanwell in series if someone could do the wiring for me. :)

Re: Lipo Wiring Parallel and Series Simultaneously

Paralling balance leads works amazing. I have 6 pieces of 25c 5s 5000mah turnigys that are 3 years old now with over 200 cycles. We have used them on my son's Electric Motocross bike and on ATV. I have every time charged them on 6P paralled on balance and main wires with iCharger. The cells are all ...

Lipo Wiring Parallel and Series Simultaneously

I'm using currently iCharger to balance charge my 20s16ah battery pack. But its a bit pain on the ass to disconnect 5 wires and connect 10 wires to iCharger (5 main and 5 balance leads). Would there be some way to balance charge this pack without BMS without disconnecting any wires? I do not want to...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

I had disaster day in our garage today. I connected the three speed switch to CA instead of potentiometer. Aux Digital and switch are original Grin technologies and are connected to y-plug. After setting up the correct values to analog output to switch between 25kmh, 40kmh and 80kmh speed limit. The...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Thanks. I get it working but I think I like 2 button digital Aux more paired with 3-speed switch. Would this feature be hard to apply to CA software: When holding aux up or down it would cycle through AuxD->Functions instead of going lowest or highest parameter of current function. When driving with...

Re: A minimal Q76 offroad build

Even an MXUS 3k is overkill for this project. Really? icecube57, did some testing and felt that a 16 Ah pack could only sustain a 60 Amp dis-charge rate. My own experience is, I can see some sag on my 20Ah pack at the lower end of the dis-charge cycle and that is w/a rated controller of only 30 Amp...

Re: A minimal Q76 offroad build

I made very similar build on Q76 with exact same Multistar setup than you and Sabvoton 72150, Cycle analyst etc. My build weight exactly 40.0kg (88 lbs). I have Mxus v3 3000w on 24" 46mm wide DH rim with 12g spokes and Maxxis Holy Roller 24x2.4" weighting 11,5 kg (25lbs). That is about 4kg (9lbs) li...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Just a quick confirmation from you before I make anything dumb. :D Does the Cycle Analyst supply battery pack voltage out from that 3.5mm headphone jack looking adapter? So I could connect step down converter there and supply 12v to PAS, about 40mA. It would be awesome that PAS would not use any sle...
