Re: Sabvoton 72xxx 21S regen
You are right. I just conducted the experiment. I made a sloppy 90volt pack from scrapped cells to test it. It only regens up to 84 volt and above it it releases the motor. I dont really know what to do tho. I ordered 714 cells for a 21S34P config. I hope I can cancel 34cells. Tooo baad that extra ...

Re: Please help: Sabvoton 72150 controller setup issue
My understanding is that QS make their own motors and the Sabvoton version controller. They also stock and sell other makes. I have been using them direct for about 5 years and to date have never had any problems with their stuff. I deal direct with them, not via any outlets and have found that most...

Re: Please help: Sabvoton 72150 controller setup issue
I tested with 120A mid throttle current(standard setting), low speed at 70% (max percentage it would allow), mid speed at 100%, "high speed" wire connected to ground, internal speed limit at 100%, both in "boost" mode and in "3 speed switch" mode. Still the same top sp...

Re: Please help: Sabvoton 72150 controller setup issue
@Santacruz unrelated : Are you using e-brake on your controller? If so are you using an e-brake throttle or a switch? How did you manage to get it working? Thank you! Yes, I am using a left half twist throttle. Just plugged in. However, it needs to be set with a pc program. I say that, as each time...

Re: Please help: Sabvoton 72150 controller setup issue
I am running a 96120, but my wiring is similar. Looking at your program parameters (again similar to mine - except amps) I see that your (under motor tab) motor speed limit is set to 65%. What I have done with mine is (using no limit) set motor speed limit and mid speed limit to 100%. I would have s...

Re: Hub motor direct from Chinese supplier
I have on 4 different occasions over the last 3 years, ordered motors and controllers from QSMOTOR.COM Each time I have ordered, I have been told it will be 1 to 4 weeks before the item is shipped with a tracking number. Everything has been sent via DHL and after shipping took between 2 days to a we...

My appolgies.
It was only a few weeks ago that I downloaded the UUG. I see now that it is not available.
So, disregard my post, it is obviously wrong.
But, Grin should remove it from their site, I think.

Re: No sine wave with field weakening selected?
I first read the source from a blog via a Polish forum. (This forum has a lot more details about Sabvoton controllers). The blog is https://ebike.nexun.pl/sabvoton-programowanie-pc-i-konfiguracja/ Towards the bottom of the page it is stated that when selecting field weakening on a Sabvoton, then FOC...

No sine wave with field weakening selected?
I was reading an article about a controller and it was stated that with field weakening the controller becomes square wave. This is news to me and raises some questions. I have a Sabvoton 96120 running a QS273 motor and have field weakening set to 50amps. Is it correct that the controller is running...

On their site they have a help desk for the sort of thing you need. I would guess that is the best bet.

Re: Off Road Throttle which one do you prefer?
I have tried a few and my favourite is the grin slim right hand half twist. so slim can fit shifter without interference. I like how the twist and grip are same diameter. The Chinese ones all seem to have a fatter twist part, which i can't stand. Most throttles are cheap enough you can get a few an...

Hello all, Can anyone tell me what is involved in switching from a triple crown to a single crown fork on a Stealth Bomber please? I can't think of any reason you'd have a problem making the switch. Just make sure you have a 1 1/8" straight stem. Would the single crown, not make the front a lo...

Re: QSMOTOR,0.5-12kW Electric Hub Motor & Mid Drive Motor Manufacture China
I have had 2 things from QS, but I made my order with them direct, not via Ali express. Earlier in the year I ordered a Sabvoton controller and just over a month ago I ordered a QS273. I emailed them for a price including shipping. I got a reply within a day. I paid via paypal. Within a day I got an...

Re: Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*
What turn is the 3k motor? and depending on how you have it programmed the controller will be in mid or low settings. If you do not have a 3-speed switch? I would go into the app or PC program and set all 3 powers settings to max or whatever you like so you know what it is doing... Also, you can pr...

Re: Plethora of Litespeedbikes.com chargers on eBay.... Whats the deal?
Just an update. I got my money back after opening a dispute. The seller constantly said that I had wired it up wrong. Not sure how plugging something in that is already made, is wiring it up wrong. Then the seller said that they use blue for positive and brown for negative. However, I did check the ...

Re: Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*
Hi all, I have a question about power output of a 96120. My setup comprises of 22s5p 26650 battery pack (Only charged to 90v), 96120 Sabvoton and Mxus 3k. I have connected. throttle, low brake, second throttle for variable regen. The things I have not connected is the 3 speed plug, brake high. Every...

Re: Plethora of Litespeedbikes.com chargers on eBay.... Whats the deal?
I just bought an identical model from Ali Express for 108 euros. Arrived in under 2 weeks. (Bought from a store I have used a lot without problems). Plugged it in and it showed the correct voltage (They are fixed voltage and you have to specify what voltage you need, only the amps output is adjustab...

Question over different pole pairs in motors
Hi all, I have searched, but not really found a simplified answer. That is pole pairs in a motor. I take as an example, MXUS 3k - 23 pole pairs and a QS205 3k - 16 pole pairs. So one has 46 magnets and one has 32 magnets. Does this have something to do with RPM or torque or even reliability? What is...
