Re: Another (more satisfactory) Luna Cycle experience

3000 mile update: Still going strong almost one year later. I usually charge to 80% and discharge to around 50% on my 8 mile commute. No noticeable changes in performance or capacity (as measured by the cheap voltage bar display). There is a warranty sticker on the pack that will break if you open t...

Re: Battery suggestion? (feedback on luna?)

Questions: 1# Is lunacycle generally respected for good support, warranty and actually selling genuine panasonic batteries as advertised? This seems like decent deals but there website is janky, making me nervous. 2# I figure connection some anderson connectors is the best bet to go as that is my c...

Re: Criminalizing e-biking

So it's ALL still Obama's fault? Precious, just absolutely precious, ROTFLMAO.... In some minds, Obama is all powerful. Kind of like a god in many ways! I don't really understand why the mayor is doing this, but then again I moved from NYC during the Bloomberg years (I still love NYC though). I agr...

Re: Charger voltage issue

Yes, if the voltage is at the correct level, it should be safe to use. But I would watch it carefully for a few cycles. Sometimes you get some oxidation on the pot wiper inside the pot and just moving the adjustment will scrape it off. Having a permanently attached voltmeter is a good idea. I use o...

Re: Charger voltage issue

In a good design, if the pot wiper goes open (dirty or bad contact), the voltage will drop as a safety feature. Ok, I found the voltage pot and turned the screw so that the charger is once again putting out close to 59 volts. However, the screw had a dab of silicone or something on it, to keep it f...

Charger voltage issue

I have a 52v battery charger that is only putting out 45.7 volts. Is is possible that the charger is out of adjustment somehow, or is it likely that some component is broken and needs to be replaced? What component regulates the voltage? A second charger putting out 59v charges the battery correctly...

Re: Hey dillenger, where are the updated racks you promised?

Sorry if it's not appropriate to bump this after such a long time. But I have the same issue as the Op. Difference is, I never bothered to contact Dillinger about it and simply kept buying new ones at $20-$30 a pop when they all inevitably failed. But I am now over all of that. The rack quality is ...

Re: 52v battery charger problem

Well, the vendor had me make one more measurement and now we are doing an exchange for a new charger. Still no word on what could be wrong with it, but getting a new one will probably fix the issue!

Odd but it seems that numerous other threads about other vendors didn't get the same level of attention or concern for legal ramifications. "Luna Derangement Syndrome". Re: 52v battery charger problem

The first thing I would try is to hook up the charger on the pack's charge port, and then run the bike at the same time, even just wheel off ground spinning in the air, and see if the charger starts up. Alright, I tried it and still get nothing. Afterwards, the charger still shows 45.7 volts at the...

52v battery charger problem

I have opened a ticket with the vendor, but while waiting I was hoping to see if anyone wanted to respond with suggestions for me on this. I have a 52v shark pack and a 52v charger that can charge to 80, 90, or 100%. My battery is currently around 35% full (48.5v), but the charger will not charge th...

The Washington Post is widely regarded as one of the best examples of fake news. They're trying to make you think the people of the Congo need the American government to take a bigger role in helping the Congolese. In reality, this just makes the government richer and the people poorer. The miners ...

Re: Ebikes are for rebels....

This still comes back to my original point (which anoNY42 seems to have a lot of problems comprehending). These laws are about risk, not about harm. I comprehended your argument fine, but your "example" of the tribal leaders allowing honor killings does nothing to advance your argument. Furthermore...

Lol, as if your reference to tribal leaders in Pakistan had any bearing at all on the discussion of e-bike laws. I see you don't get abstract thinking. Tip: It's not about ebike laws. It's about attitudes towards laws. It's hyperbolic to try to tar flat tire with a silly reference to honor killings...

Unless of course its not known then it really does highlight manipulation to help push more political power and money in som...

Re: Only the poor want ebikes

Why? Because when you vigorously ride a standard bicycle you are emitting 10 times the amount of carbon dioxide (co2) via your respiratory system (breathing) than merely sitting on an ebike. So people who frequently ride standard bicycles are emitting a lot more co2 than folks for the same distance...
