Re: Mbs Electric Mountainboard-6374 230kv, Vesc, 7s 6200 mah
It's commonly said that VESC shouldn't be run on 10-12S with motors above 200KV, probably that's also why drv chip died. I am pretty sure that is what happened too much rpm in short bursts with no load...so watch out for those bench tests at high voltage. Maytech responded back they have the MTES12...

Managed to mill a kinetics 206 Vesc heatig sink plate (Squad inspired). I already know that i m loosing the waterproof function of the box....cause you really need air vents ...I actually did it and the wind just blows on top of the vesc thru the lid... probably will add a couple of 50 mm fans at o...

Mine turns on when board draws power, it's automatic. Thanks, I made some changes and almost all updates are in my thread on electric-skateboard.builders which is named almost the same.

Re: 1st Electric Mountainboard build
Just got some wick planning to do it tonight... So probably a dumb question but to flash the firmware onto this do i have to have a battery hooked up? I would assume you do but the usb could also be powering the processor... From what I know there's no need to connect battery for flashing firmware,...

Re: 1st Electric Mountainboard build
Get solder wick to remove excessive solder with Your soldering iron, don't do anything unless You deal with shorted pins. Just put solder wick on pins of drv and processor and gently drag solder iron, there are plenty tutorials on YT. Good luck!

Re: Looking for an ESC that is HV(atleast 10s) and is sensor
I think im gonna get the maytech ESC, just to try something new. Hopefully it works out! I ordered them myself, will see how they perform, but I believe in my eMTB they will be much better than VESC and failproof solution. Don't get me wrong, I really admire all the work that Benjamin did, and VESC...

Re: DIY Boosted inspired electric longboard
Howdy gentlemen. I'm new to the game of electric boards. Busy working on my first build. This one is very impressive! I notice there isn't much concern given to air flow in the design of the enclosures. Even the original boosted board has heat sinks on the motor-side housing. Is temperature gain no...

Re: Looking for an ESC that is HV(atleast 10s) and is sensor
Just got an found out from Bruno at APS that a single motor 150A sensored 12s ESC with BEC would cost 89 Pounds(114 USD). I am now torn, but I think APS has better quality assurance, name and a higher amp even though the maytech ESC is around 10 USD cheaper http://maytech.en.alibaba.com/product/604...

Hey, I have lot's of problems with VESC at 12S and 63mm motors, I'm really tired of it. I have found this, probably am going to order it myself really soon. It su...

Noice!! work.. Hows the diode-mosfet.. solution working?? - I have an ebike with reduction and pedaling turns the motor (1 crank rotation = +30 motor rotations) .. possibly without proper settings .. this provides too many ways to toast an VESC. (V5 cant wait) - I have only use VESC for BLDC contro...

Dude this sound is normal for any BLDC driven motor, any way to get rid of it is to get ESC with implemented FOC

Re: Dual Drive single motor MTB
With single 6374 motor is gonna be kinda weak... I wouldn't bother unless You plan to use larger motor, like 80100. For the cost of developing Your own custom parts, next motor and esc can easily be bought to use conventional dual rear drive. Also have a look here (I don't know german, but photos ar...

He took care of my burned one and I recently send him another VESC this time with probably DRV chip failure (probably caused by FOC). If Y...

I had such thoughts during my build, but wanted to use VESC, and it wouldn't deliever enough amps and volts to get everything out of 80-100 beast motor... Why didn't You go with longer motors, even more power...
