I would connect it on the ESC side. Maybe @whitepony could help you with this since he has done it before. Lipo's should work well.

Re: My Build List ~$550

Be careful with the wiiceiver and solder it. It can lose connection and go full speed or brake whilr you are riding if it loses connection. I'd get torqueboards 2.4ghz remote.

Re: JP spot welder

I have looked on heaps of car battery websites. The only ones I could find were these: http://www.giantpower.com.au/45ah-12v-a ... le-battery
Maybe your country has a wider range of batteries because I can barely find any.

Re: Electric Longboard Build Help

Torqueboards ESC works with the wii remotes but the wii remotes have dropouts which can cause accidents. I would spend the most money on the esc, it's the ost important bit.

Re: Electric Longboard Build Help (beginner)

2 things with your build: I'd go with a GT2B because that transmitter and receiver has a lot of drop outs and they can cause accidents because you don't have control over the board. You could always get diyelectricskateboard.com 2.4ghz controller which is just as small and much more reliable because...

6s = 22.2volts and 12s = 44.4volts. More voltage = more power and hill climbing ability.

Re: Need help on potentially modding boosted board

You can buy a 10s battery pack from a place like this: http://www.batteryspace.com/37V-Li-Ion/Polymer-Battery-Pack-Modules.aspx Then charge it with a balancing charger to the same voltage as the boosted pack. Solder some wires on boosted's cables where he showed in the video. Solder a connector on t...

Re: Newbie E-Board Build (advice needed)

Flat spots work well and have lasted 1000km+ so you should be fine. Just select the sk3 mounting fitment if you are getting that motor or any other 63mm motor.

Re: Newbie E-Board Build (advice needed)

The VESC is an ESC made for electric skateboards but it will cost a bit more. It is harder to configure but will be a much better ride once configured. Torqueboards 12s esc is a good esc that you don't have to configure much and is very easy to setup with an lcd programming card. 230kv is around the...

He doesn't need a 12s charger. He can charge all 4 of his batteries at 3s 5amps using the parallel charging board. He has 4 3s batteries if I'm correct and he will be wiring all those in series to get 12s 5000mah.

Those motors have a 40amp esc in them and they are meant for drones not human weight. Others can chime in with this comment. Also you will have to push a bit to get started.
