Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I've also seen them where they get so hot the solder on the halls melts and then the impact throws the puddle from the joint (leaving little balls of solder inside the motor) Oh, you mean like some guy racing one of these motors up at the Hunter Valley till it hit 200 degrees C ? Nah, we (my boyo a...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thanks icherouveim, I wanted to be careful not to damage the good Halls, or make the Adaptto go bang. This problem occurred initially a few weeks ago after landing heavily from a small jump, but it was initially very intermittent. I subsequently had the wheel rebuilt due to breaking the spaghetti li...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

This will be very obvious to someone else, but its got me stumped. Got the !Halls! error cut out coming up intermittently, associated with rough terrain and/or high current. Have read back through thread re EMF leakage. Motor has two sets of Hall wires incl Temp sensor, so I want to swap over, but h...

Re: Latest road and single track weapon.

Hey Kepler Your battery box would win any beauty contest, and it looks like in this particular frame the swingarm pivot would foul but, in order maximize ground clearance, has anyone snugged up a bafang BBSxx above the downtube in the valley with the seat tube? There are a few dual suspension frames...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Very nice Alex, looks like a killer downhill frame/build regardless of E bike components. Does the frame come with option of pinch bolt horizontal rear dropouts to avoid using a tensioner, just torque blocks and chain tugs, would be much better to my eyes. I think they changed to horizontals on Alph...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

4428 for ES.JPG I can’t get enough of this bike, its borderline obsession. Done about 800km now, most all of it off-road single track near home with some gravel road getting to and from the good stuff. It took about 12 months to source the bits and build it, but worth the wait. Thanks to Jay at HEB...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hey I'm only 5'8", that's short inseamed, but I just felt like the FLUTZR Alpha frame had the seat post angled too close to the head stem, so I think the modded seat bracket makes sense. But then again, my mother used to have to knit me jumpers with the arm length 2" longer than the normal patterns....

Re: Advanced ADAPTTO controllers and compatible products

The pinout will be: Red, green & black : Hall throttle Blue, yellow & brown : Switch (Yellow is the common) Purple & white : Pushbutton This info will help a lot when the throttle arrives. Wonder if there is a way to use the 3 way switch on the throttle to change the speed modes on the Adaptto, Eco...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Adaptto's recommendation for the MaxE is 2 x 63A paralleled on the one pole(positive). But one 63A in each pole will still only give the current rating of one breaker. However, using two breakers paralleled takes up a fair bit of real estate in the battery box so I used a slightly smaller (ie 1.5 mo...

Re: Advanced ADAPTTO controllers and compatible products

Thanks Rix, "syd" was supposed to be std, as in standard, but I am coming to the same conclusion, aint no such thing. For instance, the common advice is -5/+5 for angle corr, my MXUS k3 Turbo autodetect setting was around -10, and feels like a chaff cutter at anything past -6, hardly runs at -2! I h...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Guys, i am running a wuxxing thumb throttle for variable regen. It works well but would like to increase the breaking force applied. How do i do this? Done the thumb throttle brake calibration thing, adjusting upper and lower limits etc? I have a RH Wuxing mounted awkwardly, upside down I think, or...

Been asking Allex lots of questions about the MAX E Set up, but figured I would start posting here to share the knowledge with those like me who don't know. I hope I am not the only one  So I spoke with a guy in Australia who is currently working on 2 bikes powered by the Adapto, both motors ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Now I need your help. I brought a used Mini-E for my girlfriend's bike from a forum member. It arrived but unfortunately does not work and I cannot return it. When I connect the display to the controller and hook it up to my power supply it does not turn on and the display stays black. As it is lik...

Is it a BMS or a BMS ?

Please excuse the totally basic query here, just need some clarification. I have a Max-E and BMS for my FLX build, and also installed Mini-E with no BMS, yet, on our Stealth Fighter. Although the literature seems to refer to a "Battery Management System", other than LV and HV cut-off via the Adaptto...

Re: Adaptto Controllers, Eaton Chargers, battery packs

Hey Allex, Wiring in the Hall sensor connector for my recently purchased Max E from Envolt I was suprised to see it was a six pin unit instead of the 7 pin connector that came with the Mini-E. I checked the diagram onthe website and found how the pins are numbered, then looked in the manual to check...

Re: Stealth Flux owners builds and pics

Sundrive I'm thinking you'd be better with two seperate 18s 6p bricks, each with minimal electrical insulation and shrinkwrap, in order to make loading easier and once loaded, add physical insulation outside the shrinkwrap with foam/rubber etc. Looking at it from the headstem end as below, those ri...

Dont have any kits on the page, just loose items You will ned 28s BMS 30A coil and Eaton charger(if dont already have one PSU) You will aso need 5 balance leads and a circuit breaker if you will build the battery Hello Allex, a point of clarification please. Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I have a Mini-E "4kW" controller. It only can do max 56A at 45V, so this is 2.5kW. I measured current with my own ammeter to verify adaptto was reporting correct current. Anybody else have this problem w/their "4kW" controller. It's over promising and under-delivering. Someone from Adaptto will pro...
