Re: 2020/21 What's the best 100A Peak Pack?
On the opposite to regular Lithium cells like NMC, NCA, LiPO, LiCO etc, the LiFePo4 cells never realy improoved in energy density. They keep theyr life cycle incredible and flat discahrge curve. Personally io made many packs with LiFePo4 and mostly A123 pouch and round cells and i always prefered th...

Re: Nyx frame, 273mm*40m V3 hub, and 650A
I noticed doctorbass has been largely absent as well, though that could just be a coincidence. I've read through many of the old posts here at ES and it seems that at least a few of the people who seemed to be on the bleeding edge circa 2015 or so are either notably absent or no longer contributing...

Grid Tie Solar inverter hybrid 48vdc UL or CSA
I am actively searching for a inverter that is: -1 or 2 MPPT input ( idealy starting from 60VDC and not 200vdc as i have some string of 2x 60 cells panel only) -Grid Tie -Hybrid (battery backup input) -48Vdc ( not 24, not 12) -Certified UL or CSA. - 4kW and more It seem a real pain to find some that...

Re: Grid tie inverters and HV battery
Thanks cricketo, I did not know that there are battery-powered off-grid inverters that generate the sine wave necessary for grid-tied inverters. And that SMA does that. I saw great bargain of some large SMA inverter at very nice price however these are not split phase so you need two that i guess ar...

Re: Grid tie inverters and HV battery
Thanks you Bill. I made a video to better explain the experiment. Btw these Enphase are isolated from in to output except for the AC ground that have some high capacitance relative to the DC side. I saw these chineese inverter /charge controller that control the output to contyrol what they dump to ...

Battery powered micro inverter and parallel them !
Hello guys, In my solar project i am making some testing prior to see if some concept are working. You can get very cheap used old micro inverter like the Enphase M190 and to increase their power you can paralle them if you use these outside their MTTP voltage range when powered by battery. In these...

Re: Grid tie inverters and HV battery
Hello Jones, I'm back here on E-S since few month. I have less time for the forums so i sometime take a brake. Yes it is possible to supply the input with battery instead of PV power. I actually have a Solar project that will use a bank of 8 Enphase M190 micro inverters (that i got for 80cad$) all c...

Re: Question for the Wizzards...why can’t Enphase micro inverters be connected in parallel?
On my side.. Yes they work in parallel... well at least the M190 that we today can find for about 10$ each used and still 100% working! I tried 2 in parallel from a batch that i bought from Ontario,Canada.. and YES it work !!! I got some 300W 60 cell panel and i tought it was a big sacrifice to let ...

Re: Inverter recommendations, 48V sine wave, no grid tie
The cheapest way to convert 48Vdc to kW of sine AC is to get used UPS !!! I got a APC 5000VA ( 4300Watts) for 200$ no battery inside. It work really well for the cost!!! similar to this one.. but it output 208Vthat i converted to splitphase 120-120AC https://www.kijiji.ca/v-electricite/laval-rive-no...

Re: Adaptto - manual fine tuning Thread
Folks, Does anyone on this thread use QS205 V3? And if so, what are the setting parameters that you use on your Adaptto? I'm actually just starting on my build, and I keep hearing that some folks get their motor very hot with the Adaptto... In fact, wouldn't it be a good idea if folks can share the...
