Re: 52V battery now 20V - dead?

I figure your battery has a BMS, A working BMS will shut off a battery when one or more cells get below LVC, isolating the cells from the outside world.Whatever you see on the output is just leakage across the BMS transistors, so it probably isn't at 20V. Some BMS also shut off when cells are over v...

Re: Used Jump Bafang Hub for Budget Build?

It's funny how our budget builds just creep away from the original intent. Here I am spoking a new hub into a 26" rim so I could have disk brakes in the back. As least I got the rotor with the BCH hub, And then I went with hydraulic hose/caliper. That made me finally adapter a caliper to the fr...

Re: Hub Motor on skewer front fork?

You can't use the anti-tamper nuts that came with the motor, unless you have the wrench that goes with it.

You can get conventional M12-.1.25 flanged nuts at Lowes, Ace Hardware (maybe), and online, but not at Home Depot,

Re: KT LCD8 issue « copy complete »

It says in the LCD8H manual that if you leave the "copy complete" alone for at least a minute, the screen returns to normal?

Well, you could bypass the LCD and have the default PAS and throttle, while you wait for a new LCD to arrive.

Re: Ebikes don't like going underwater!

A bike like that probably has the controller in a box under the pedals? Mine did. I rode thru 6" of water and filled the box with water. However, I pulled the battery when I got home, so it didn't corrode. It did sizzle when I reconnected the power the next day, so I pulled power again and wash...

Re: Sudden Unintended Acceleration, Chinese 3kw hub motor kit.

Poor/intermitent continuity of the throttle ground wire will result in those symptoms. With no ground, the signal goes to 5V. I'm sure this is the reason for the OP's problem, but if I'm wrong let me know. Every controller brand I own, five of them, will do this. I haven't tried my BBS02, but thats...

5 hall lines 3 motor wires and 1 pas wire from the motor to the controller Never seen red/white and black/white wires coming out of a KT controller. I've owned a dozen of them, and have four different styles. I saw your nine pin cable, and there should be three phase wires: blue, green, yellow, fiv...

Well, that's a new design, I see what you mean about the integrated hub. Is there a separate cable for it? Seems dumb to me. PAS sensors fail, and now you gotta take out the motor? stupid.jpg So why not buy the PAS unit in my earlier picture, or another one if you don't like the all-in-one, and use ...

That's not an LCD5 display in your picture, but the obvious thing to do is to flip your integrated PAS sensor over, so it spins in the other direction.

Re: AKM 100 250w vs 350w, how do they compare?

One thing about the Q100H is that it uses two bushings and a nut. under the freewheel to set the O.L.D. I did a bike that also had a 130mm dropout. It was an alloy frame with a integrated luggage rack, which gave it an extra pair of stout chainstays that I was not going to force. In this picture, bot...

Re: XLD brainpower motor controller repair

The other side of that connector comes from the motor. Is that also cooked like the one in the picture? Then you have to replace that too. That's what some call a Z916 motor connector, used with the biggest 750W hubmotors. Smaller motors use the Z91 or Z910. One approach is to buy a Z916 extension c...

I don't think you can do that short the battery trick more once a year.

Brand new kit? looks like some protective plastic wrap on that throttle. Check your wiring, Are you overvolting the bike? Is it a 36V kit with a 48V battery? Try a new throttle?

Could also be the 5V on the throttle is short circuited inside that pinch. It's the same 5V that powers the PAS sensor.

Over at BMS battery, they sell the Q100CST and Q100H (freewheel). They state the Q100H has 30% more torque than the Q100, but they don't sell a Q100, but I always thought the Q100CST had less torque. Someone else said the Q100CST was a little thinner, to fit the cassette, so less metal means it will...

Re: Please Help, post-crash poblems

I believe this bike has the controller inside the battery cradle, with a harness that goes to the handlebars with a connector for the display, throttle, the two brakes, and maybe the head light? At least you know the motor connections are fine. Throttle is a three pin device, +5V, Ground, and sensor...

Re: Repurposing my 36V Li-Ion ebike battery

If you bypass the bad row, the BMS will no longer work. I assume you want that to work. You may be able to get a 9S BMS or find a 10S model that works with the tenth row tied off, but either approach means you need to install a new BMS. And where will you find a 9 charger? You'll have to get an adju...

Re: Lime scooter battery balanced early

I've also bought surplus scooter packs, and sometimes a few groups will be sitting as low as 2.5V-2.7V when the majority were at 3V. It seems to me the cells charge really fast when they're low like that, like they'll make up a 1/2 volt in less than a minute and catch up to the rest.

Re: My fiido m21 thrown up error code e4

Take a look at the motor cable coming out of your rear motor and see if it has a quick-disconnect connector. If it does, doesn't hurt to unseat it and seat it. It's not really a quick disconnect. more like a hard-to-disconnect. but that's often the cause of many Errors associated with the Hall Senso...

Yes, let's see a picture of your throttle connector. KT controllers that I own have a three wire plug for throttle, with wires red, black, and blue. That connector you show with the extra wire. Many people, who haven't ridden a bicycle in +30 years, are buying fat tire 20" folders. They think the wider tires are more stable, give them the option for snow and dirt, and that they can fold these baby whales and toss them in their cars. Lectric is an overnight success, having marketed the...

Re: Used Jump Bafang Hub for Budget Build?

Probably not that unusual about weight, but I put a hitchhiker rig on mine when the grandkid came to visit, and the motor would have to pull almost 350 pounds on 20A and 36V. Mine came with Schwalbe tire and a nice tube with a knurled nut on the valve stem. Also a 160mm rotor with screws, a cable ope...
