Re: Bagang bb02 on tern link folder

[I wanted to go with the 48v unit because I thought I could go FASTER with it. What was the top speed of your Raleigh ? The advantage of BBS02 is you are running through the existing gearing. Normally fit person can pump out ~250W through their legs for a few minutes. So 750W motor power was essent...

Tom L wrote:What's the chainline of the bike?

The standard BBS02 chainline is ~50mm. The Lekkie chainrings reduce this to 46.5mm.
Thanks Tom ! I will measure my chainline..

Re: Bagang bb02 on tern link folder

Hi all, I am considering installing a Bafang BB02 750 watt 48v kit on my Tern Link . Hi Yumseyo, Some unsolicited advice from my own experience with BBS02 and folder. Tern Link is a nice bike, but like most folders the center of balance is towards the rear compared with standard bike. I mounted a B...

Bagang bb02 on tern link folder

Hi all, I am considering installing a Bafang BB02 750 watt 48v kit on my Tern Link . Can anyone tell me which chainring to get for the best chainline? I will probably get a rear rack for the battery, and I want to keep my 10 speed rear cassette with Di2 shifter. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Anyone have an "ADD-E" 600 watt friction drive kit ?

Hi All, Would anyone give their experiences with the new ADD-E 600 watt friction drive ebike kit with throttle? It is a friction kit and is very light. I am considering buying one, but was hoping someone could help me decide one way or other. Here is a link to their website: http://www.add-e.de/en/ ...

Re: bionx g2 bench testing

Well, I just got my wheel back from modification. Speed goes up to 25 mph now.... :( I thought I could get more, but the assist restriction has been disabled so I should be able to get it into a higher gear and assist the bike faster...I hope..

need help with troubleshooting velomini 1

Hi All !, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with troubleshooting the velomini 1 folding ebike. I got one that did not have a battery. According to the previous owner, it was working, and all that was needed was a battery. Well........... I just installed an external battery, 24 v 10ah. Wh...

Re: velomini battery wiring

If you plug it in wrong you'll know it fast. It will quickly blow a fuse, and if you have no fuse it will start to burn up connectors. If you've got battery leds lit with nothing burning, then you have it connected right. Thanks wesnewell ! I was hoping that was the case. I am playing around with t...

Re: velomini battery wiring

What color wires are they connected to on the controller? Typically red is positive and black is negative. Trace the wires to the controller and you should have your answer unless someone rewired the controller. My wag would be he just used whatever wire color he had to extend the battery connectio...

velomini battery wiring

Hi All, could anyone advise me on proper battery wiring for a Velomini single speed? I traded for one used. The previous owner had removed the battery in the frame and installed a battery and attached it to a bag hanging under the seat. My question is this: I noticed that he wired up the positive le...

Re: single speed or 20 speed with Bionx SL350 48 V

Well, as I am learning more about the bionx motors, I have found that it can only take a freewheel (screw on) not a cassette. It has an 8 speed sunrace on it now. I have found a 12-21 sachs freewheel with British threads. I have read that it should fit, but does any one have any experience with thes...

painting bionx motor black

Has anyone had any experience with painting a silver bionx motor matt black? I am replacing the rim so all the spokes are off now, and I thought it might be a good time to change the color from silver to black. Should I use matt finish or semi gloss for easier cleaning? I don't know if the semi glos...

Re: single speed or 20 speed with Bionx SL350 48 V

If this bike is for practical purposes, I'd avoid both the systems you've suggested, for the same basic reasons. They're expensive and lack durability. A 7 speed cassette with 7 speed chain will yield better durability, far lower cost, far less maintenance, and wider gearing range. There's no need ...

I was going to install the gearing just because I had it, but thought the carbon belt set up would enhance the "cool" factor. Any one else's thoughts? please.

single speed or 20 speed with Bionx SL350 48 V

Hi all, I am rebuilding a dahon MuP8 with a Bionx SL350 48 volt battery. I wanted to get anyone's opinion on weather I should make it a single speed gates carbon drive or go with a Dura Ace 7900 20 speed set up I have. I am going to make it as light as I can, carbon fork, seat post, etc. I really li...

bionx g2 bench testing

Hi all, I am new to ebikes and I just bought a used Bionx SL350 48 v kit on a Dahon Folding bike. It was missing the controller and had a rear wheel out of true. I have since installed a new controller and went ahead to disassemble the bike for cleaning and rebuilding. I am in process of testing the...
