Good Job!
It's not visible at the photos how you try to solder them so I suggest you to solder the two pair of wires straight away on the winding.
When I have similar soldering issues I use high power iron and lot of good flux paste.

Re: Cells for high drain battery

It's nice to see so much activity on my question. For now i've scraped the idea about the LiFePo4 cells. My vision is for a battery pack either 20s13p or 20s15p with the C5A cells. My controller will be 200A continuous so i think they will be nice and cool. About the connections i plan on using 99%...

Re: Cells for high drain battery

Also there are more option for you, for example there is a new high power 20700 cell from Sanyo but is more expensive. NCR2070C https://www.nkon.nl/sanyo-ncr2070c-3500mah-30a.html It has more capacity and the internal resistance is only 10mΩ. You can read bellow. http://www.evva-tech.com/plus/view.p...

make a 20S13P pack with the C5A.

if you have the space: add more cells!
Yes do this and you won't regret it!!
You will have great performance and good cycle life because with 13P every C5A cell will have to deliver only 15.5A so they won't get very warm.

Re: Cells for high drain battery

Agree with flippy, but would like to add, any cell will do better, if you don't heat them up. When the motor gets big, carrying enough battery without drastically upsetting the handling of it gets hard. So 1, get the lowest internal resistance cells you can afford, vs choosing a cell for its cycle ...

Re: Cells for high drain battery

Hello, At the moment the best 18650 cell for the same capacity is the: VTC5A it has the lower internal resistance and the longer cycle life. That's why it's more expensive. https://eu.nkon.nl/sony-us18650vtc5a-flat-top.html Many big e bike builders use it for very high power e bike projects like the...

Re: How many Amps can this 3500W rated QS hub motor actually take? (build planning)

I think it's a good idea to take it apart to find out which version you have and also to check the internal condition. if there is any rust etc.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I pulled apart the controller that had a short with my old MXUS motor and I get 4ohms at R113. So I put it back together and plugged it into the cromotor that's on the bike at the moment. The first thing I noticed was that when I hooked up a light bulb to the controller to charge the caps before pl...

it has lot of power & torque! the only issue is that for road use seems to be slow. it needs more top speed.

Very Very beautiful trail in the forest with lakes and everything, it looks like a dream! Why your friend with the NYX frame felt down? Is it because the ebike is overpowered more than 15.000W? Is he a new rider ? Is the geometry of the frame wrong? Small wheel at the back and big at the front maybe...

For example if you change cover design maybe it can fit at the top. Anyway to make any changes you have to know f...

Re: Scott Drive SD300 (300+KW)

Very nice controller!
I have a question why didn't you go for the SD100 or SD200 instead to save some space?
I think you will never use all this peak power because even for a car is alot!

I saw at your photos this controller takes 1/3 of your battery space.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I have a problem. My thermosensor was stuck on 32T so I decided to try different sensors in the controller setup menu and now the temp bars are flashing and I can only get 20 watts. I'm guess I'm stuck in protection for overheating mode? I've even tried setting thermosensor to no but nothing works....

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I have a question about charging. I'm taking the bike on a trip and I want to be able to charge the bike as fast as possible in the middle of nowhere. Can I hook up a DC-DC converter to 5s car batteries and charge at 70A with 70A charge coil? Is there anything I should watch out for besides my bike...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

The frame doesn't have the same height everywhere, there is a high point that reaches about 130-135mm so I will add more cells there also two years ago I've manage to fit 180 18650 cells with two floors design so I think my goal to fit 140 21700 can be accomplished. This is the old battery layout t...

First time I actually used my ebike to commute to my new job, mostly because I haven't had a job in years. Not bad, I take the bike right on the ferry boat I need to take into manhattan and they don't even care. I ride the bike right up the west side highway, not really a highway on the southern pa...

It's 18" motorcycle wheel which has a top speed of 70 km/h with the 5T motor (on 72v) It is very strange for the motor to overheat so fast with only 2kw power! Are you sure that you have run the initial controller setup when you exchange motors? Otherwise everything should be really off with your s...

So after Alex's photo I think I have to split the pack in two smaller packs to be able to fit 140 pcs of 21700 cells and then it will be the dream battery pack for this small frame. How will you arrange the cells? I can't see how more than 6P would fit unless you start stacking some end to end and ...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

For me there are no problems with 21700 cells at all. I have already used them to build electric jackets and electric sea scooters with big success. They work very well and you need less cells to build a good battery pack. Also now Nkon.nl sells 40T & 30T cells at much better prices. So after Alex's...

Hey guy's, I'm trying to figure out what the max capacity single block 20S battery can fit into a Futr Beta with 21700 cells. So far by my guesstimate, the max is 20S6P which comes out to 118x85x417mm. Anyone know if this is likely to be able to fit (I don't have a Beta on hand to test), or if ther...
