Re: 3.2KW / 6KW inline skates (updated August 13th 2016)

Hummie, since you are experienced on getting prototypes, ya think aluminium will just cut the job? or just go for steel? Any suggestions of type and grade of materials? I'm now searching for local CNC for convenience (if its affordable).... Van, I'm still waiting for my parts lol, the 68mm stator wa...

Re: Bike vs Skateboard hub motor (What sets them apart?)

It's just the case that I saw a green rc stator of the size, and found another silver scooter stator the same size with different specs. The color difference, specs and product finish made me curious, thats all. Thanks guys for the feedback.

Re: Bike vs Skateboard hub motor (What sets them apart?)

Basically I am trying to compare a 100mm hub motor from longboard with a 100mm hub motor from scooter and/or bike. They are both 100mm hub motors with different power output and kv. I found a 4 inch and 5 inch 200-300watt hub motor for scooter and bike at uumotor.com that made me curious of the diff...

Bike vs Skateboard hub motor (What sets them apart?)

Hi everyone from ES, I'm just wondering, what makes a 80mm stator from an electric skateboard/scooter hub motor (similar to RC outrunner's stator most of the case) run much more wattage (For example, 1000 watt) compare to a small but typical 80mm stator from a bike hub motor (200 watt), given it has...

Re: 8KW inline skates (updated Sept 10th 2015 - still buildi

Ahahaha, sorry for the misunderstanding.... I meant those quadcopters motors...eg. 4114, 5010, 4108 all those~ I was asking that would it handle those stress or not, and will it fry or not, as they had lower amps rating and other stuffs (eg, max 28amp) and tend to overstress and overheat, i guess yo...

Re: 8KW inline skates (updated Sept 10th 2015 - still buildi

It's for e-skates.....470kv was my temporary solution for modelling gears and housing and also testing...I finished sketching with exact measurement...left integrating actual motor for modelling for final sketch to machine....the main thing is that it must be 4020. (Scorpion has it,similar size and ...
