_IMG_000000_000000.jpg Got a plan for my front wheel in progress so I'll report back with that soon. Next is the frame pictured above the original battery box is wasting space to the rear where the motor once was, so I'm going to make a new metal battery box that extends back close to the wheel as ...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

I bet there's some late nights and lots of head scratching to get to the point you have with it and from what I see you have done extremely well nice solid good performing with decent range and power to get anywhere needed if you ask of it so there's a tap on the back from me Ive done stand on scoot...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

Your seat looks like it's facing the wrong way to me narrow at the rear but it looks comfy and it suits the bike in a position sense. I had my first ride yesterday on the bike, I noticed the weight is fairly light and low down so I can steer through the foot pegs and have good feedback to position t...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

I usual use the space on my back to carry my charger so I can charge at destination stay the night and head home next day, so for me the back pack idea never worked even with my scooters I've always done the same, 1kwh or there abouts frame mounted and a charger on my back to do a 30 mile round trip...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

Ianhill, I do not know how Manitou forks compare to Fox 40 but one of these 3 eBay frames came with Rokshox Boxxer, what a dud it was. What eBay frames be that then ? I've not used rockshox for a while now i got a basic one on my hardtail but I've not tried any of the more plush ones. I've not trie...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

Dingus I got to agree it's no push bike, with the areas I ride it that's not an issue really it's rural off-road only. That's a nice bike you have there some good components and the ktm seat backwards is just right up my street good improvisation :bigthumb: , Next upgrade for me will be a fox float ...

Re: DH frames for freeriding

IMG_20190113_130917257.jpg I always wanted an offroad bike but the price of all the individual parts was far too high for myself so I let someone else take the hit of devaluation, so I got a 2017 kuberg freerider pro with a 12kw controller and a 14inch trials rear wheel from a trial centre, it was ...

Re: Chaos 48v 1600w scooter upgrade / mods log

I had one of these scooters on the cheap like yourself about 2 years ago, I used a sunwin 48-72v 1500w controller and 16s 16ah of mulitstar Lipo and it weighed less than stock and hit 48mph. Word to the wise it speed wobbles and the front end drifts around I swapped the fork plates around to get the...

Back on topic, he is running a testing procedure run by you lmao contact him run test and verify the results back with him after you have paid to purchase the cap under test and gave your time for free for months of testing, When I mentioned where's the incentive he said I guess you won't be testing...

Re: 40-50 mph 75 mile range

I agree with dan this build is for the hard-core an ebike can be very capable with alot less power if your willing to pedal and accept less speed it's possible to cover up to 35mile with just 36v 350wh in around 3 hours or so, in the summer time it can be a nice relaxing ride rather than a commute b...

20s22p sanyo 20700b cells, it's about £1400 In cells without nickel or bms so $3000 is in the ballpark for a completed pack and expect a weight of 14kg for cells alone.

Re: OpenEMoto

Most probably everyone knows but here is few words about DNM option. Most popular bicycle air shock for hub driven ebikes are 'DNM RCP 2' and 'DNM RCP 3' models. '2' or '3' verions no difference. At least I found '2' is as good as '3'. Lengths up to 240mm. Prices from 100 to 120. With light wheel t...

Re: A2B Metro Rearming 3kW Motor + 20700B x 104

Those spoke angles are steep I can see you had to fight those nipples, 65 degree spoke angle is ideal so a 2 cross is most I'd go on that size wheel but it's built so give it a whirl see how it rolls. I got myself a kuberg freerider pro second hand thats had new bearings and a rebuild and I'm build...

Re: Razor e300 ultra. Technical guide

It looks pretty lean to me. There is only so much you can do about weight without taking away features or strength and it seems close to that point. I could of used alu bars but I've seen so many snapped bars vids on the tube that I thought id rather not die just yet, I had stock folding bars fold ...

Re: Lines erased E-Bike / E-Scooter / E Motorcycle

What pisses me off is the ebike power regs they state 350w nominal but the new rocky mountain ebike has 1000w peak power and electric scooters again illegal yet firms are making capital renting them in London so to me fuk the law I'll respect people's safety specially around roads arc but I'm harmin...

That's looking pretty cool, good luck. Cheers smoke I'll keep doing a few updates as I go, i weighed it and its at 14.2kg and I've got a controller front wheel and batterys to add so the total weight will be around 21kg just a little over target but being mostly steel and running a hub motor and th...

Re: Lines erased E-Bike / E-Scooter / E Motorcycle

The law has to be enforced and let's be honest I don't see pc plod going out of their way to chase ebikes specially in rural areas. Build your ride so it's not slow and don't get caught while not taking the piss it's as simple as that, I ride a kuberg freerider off-road, ive covered thosands of mike...

Got my motor in post yesterday so I took it apart give it an inspection and went about fitting it to the scooter, The razor is compact and the motor takes up the full width of the frame I had to dremil out the dropout on one side of the frame and use a torque arm so I could get it to fit and all loc...

If ypu manage your 10kw burst power it should see you win the traffic light dash easily,
My scooter was 4.4kw and toped out at 48mph that felt fun to ride and kept up with traffic no issues I'm sure this will be a monster with all that power.

Re: EV efficiency - new record

I think some of the lotus Elise mk1 with the 1.4 engine were just under 700kg, even with just 115bhp they still made a 0-60 dash around 8 seconds just enough to call it sporty and in the 90's it was next level bonded construction. What we need is a car that has the original mini packaging with moder...

Re: spoke nipple diameter

I just got myself a kuberg freerider and i found out they have a proprietary rear sprocket with 7 bolts on an iso disc size mount with a 15mm through axle hub. I'm going to have to get an old 36h rear oset hub strip the axle out and machine it to fit cartridge bearings so I can use it with the stock...
