Re: Hubmonster teardown

500/1200amps at 96v too mama mia thats 50kw for £620 posted thats mental power. Your going to feed the hubmonster some dinner i take it. I know 300% is crazy you got to be careful with these controllers easy to enter kill mode and with a quick twist somethings fryed, there's no regen on them i assum...

Re: Hubmonster teardown

Got a bld72701 controller and water cooling block direct from manufacturer £223 delivered no import charges. 300batt amps 700phase amps, vector foc ,300% overspeed, bluetooth not sure on the erpm limit but they state 150kmh for some reason so they must have a motor configuration in mind but im no mi...

Re: Electric kart

Those plots are interesting to follow some high speed points that must of been downhill or less incline with lower amp pull at full speed and another area with the 120kph/75mph taking the full 50ish kw peak and a sub minute lap.

Like that alot.

Re: Hubmonster teardown

That's all assumptions on my end with the manufacturing ive not compared them but its logical to make things simple as possible in manufacturing so it saves time no mixed up parts and reject numbers go down when that one process is finessed then sped up.

Re: Hubmonster teardown

205 is stator width i think That 10 inch is a 212mm and then theres 12inch 260mm and the bigger 273mm The width on the stator gets bigger with the larger power rating model's i dont know the width on them but the 230mm wide 10 inch use a m18 nut so the shaft is thick and its almost cubed shape with ...

Re: Amount of cells? many or few

stop with the outright mistreatment of facts. your opinion is NOT facts and $/kWh is not a factor when talking about safety. if you want pouches to be at the same safety level as cyclindrical cells are you need a LOT more money and mass to compensate the fact that you MUST have compression and cras...

Re: Amount of cells? many or few

My honest truth id dump 18650 on a bike and go for a prismatic less connections to worrys about and on a bike that bashes about the road vibration is gonna find any weak links over time so for road use id want a fully potted pack like tesla do it or prismatics with flexible tap connections to absor...

Re: Amount of cells? many or few

i dont use that double row stuff for this reason. its too restrictive for most pack designs or real high currents. and often cheap steel. i use hex shaped holders only if there is a space restriction. otherwise i only use straight holders so the pack is stronger and there is more air between the ce...

Re: speed relationship between wheel and bike

I think the effort it takes on the bars proves that turn in is easy one finger but turn out requires more effort and at that point there maybe a little wheel variation on the front but i cant say for sure im not reading all that.

Re: speed relationship between wheel and bike

Heres what goes on the wheels on the bus go round round round lmao but they turn at the same speed theres no synchronous stuff to worry about on a bike in a straight line and bends turn in speed up fractional and turn out slow down but they equal out mostly but every ride will never have equal right...

Re: Hubmonster teardown

4 gauge  thats 25mm cable and 2 sets of that just wow the side cover bearing must be a big boy, if the rest of that hub uses a big enough chunk of steel and copper it may get in to triple kw figures but surely it be huge like 300mm dropout in a 13inch wheel 40kg type huge.

Re: Hubmonster teardown

I built a battery for a Ym Wuxi 6 phase motor. Six fat ass phase wires. 12 or 10 inch motor for a scoot. Idk where it came from or how much it cost but it had (6) 4 gauge. It was stolen off a porch in Canada so I'm building another. The goal was to see 600 amps. This topic is interesting. I would l...
