Re: Is REGEN, really worth it ?

Rumme. Save yourself some time and money by only charging to 80% then make your trip to top up the rest while on the way to your initial destination, then return with 90% etc. Free energy is not to be scoffed at if there's ways of making it work for yourself to higher the speed carried and improve t...

Re: Is REGEN, really worth it ?

If I spin my back wheel while it on the stand with a mxus 3k dd hub and spin that wheel with all my might It will spin for say 10 seconds max then stop due to the magnetic Linkage, when I peddle the bike with me on it on the flat it rolls decent enough it's much less than a rubbing brake but it's th...

Re: Yet another Razor e300 thread

Not got alot done with this yet I've been working on my speed controllers cleaning left over flux residue off the board and giving it a conformal coating then giving a fresh generous amount of heatsink compound. I've got the bars in place and sorted it for my height of 6ft that's about it for now, w...

Re: Super turbo 1000watt

It's an 18fet fits down the side of the battery frame nice, should have dimensions on the listing. IMG_20180417_144120372.jpg That was my set up, controller on the side bare lipos no bms stacked in alu plates and a watt meter shunt so I could have a basic monitor for it all then I would balance char...

Re: Super turbo 1000watt

Yeah that controller on high setting gives out 3.8kw on turbo mode, stock 54/11 gearing it revs out to just under 7krpm trust me you will either be broken up or well impressed. Take it easy on the chain keep it slack and we'll lubed when climbing hard back off a bit on the flat let it rip take over ...

Re: Yet another Razor e300 thread

So when we overvoltage a motor we move all the points on the curve, That's why most people who overvolt the stock my1016 motor end up with it burning put, it's geared for delivering under it's maximum power and when overvolting these points move up the curve so the motor will need to be revved harde...

Re: Is REGEN, really worth it ?

From what I understand hub motor's can be up to 85% efficency +or- a few %, the efficency climbs with rpm, So when we use a perm magnet motor for an ebrake and regen the motor efficency at generating operates in reverse highest efficency of momentum turned back into energy is at high rpm and as the ...

Re: Yet another Razor e300 thread

I've done a shit load of research on sprockets and chains, I've learnt that a small wheel will need a small pitch chain to use larger sprockets if a high gearing is needed or the use of a jackshaft assembly for a larger pitch chain which in turn has more mass and less efficency. I've also learnt abo...

Re: Yet another Razor e300 thread

ive not done alot really just got new rear brake bolts cut to length, and cut the stock handle bars off the razor as they are to narrow for my liking. I have not fitted my other wider ones yet I got a trip to the shed and strip the headset and bars off and grab the motor for mock up, when it's in my...

Re: Gas Gas Trials bike conversion

There's a nice 24s 300amp lcd bms with a speedo dash, temp monitor, individual cell monitor and Bluetooth. Search 24s 300a lcd bms. Bms on discharge is not 100% needed though I've run naked packs and just monitored the overall voltage, current and watthour with a cheap 120v 300amp bluetooth shunt ju...

Re: Gas Gas Trials bike conversion

I take it 12s is what your going to run the meanwells are used to good effect with a bms. Discharging is easy enough, get a load of 60w car head lights bulbs, 4 in series and 10 parallel gives you a cheap as chips 2400w load at 50v it will pull 50amps. Just remember ohms law and you can't go wrong. ...

Re: Gas Gas Trials bike conversion

I was sat on a gas gas 250 the otherday, I give it a kick and a quick blip in the guys garden and I found it a very light bike, it fitted my body frame of 6ft perfect when I'm upright i could get some good pops and lean back into a back brake manual it's a very easy bike to ride feels natural and in...

Re: 2018 Torque Arm Tests, Splined Interface Design and Tabbed Washers

Few pics of the frame, torque arms and the finished product I suppose I was damm lucky starting with an ebike with 148mm dropouts so the axle dropped straight in the frame no modding only the torque arm was to small for the oval of the larger mxus so I got some custom ones knocked up. On second thou...

Re: 2018 Torque Arm Tests, Splined Interface Design and Tabbed Washers

I'm just a novice at this ive built a few personal rides mostly scooter's but I have done an A2B metro conversion with a mxus 3k turbo. I found the disc needed to be spaced out 5mm that was difficult to find in one piece so the disc match the standard mounts. I could still fit a 7 speed freewheel co...

Re: Yet another Razor e300 thread

Had a little potch with the rear end over the weekend, I've found that I'm going to need a new axle 10mm longer but ive sourced that and my original will do for mocking up, the rear disc brake is mounted I need to order new fixings but again this is mock up so as long as it all lines up and tightens...

Re: Tesla Model 3

The way I see it is he wanted to revolutionise transport with EV and it's a fair point the modern car has evolved but many of the manufacturer's are dragging their feet, I think the mistake was made with the push for autopilot and a luxury sector car he should of stuck with sports cars and evolved t...

As long as you balance charge them and store in a place that's not full of combustible's your doing your best, In the words of a famous youtuber "you can only piss with the cock you've got" so them wheels are fine fella it's suits you fine and that's all it needs to do.

Re: 2018 Torque Arm Tests, Splined Interface Design and Tabbed Washers

I love the work, any progression in this area is a benifit no doubt, making an oval torque arm more operational with big power and regen does make sense but it's not a high demand area and that's why we have had such a nominal design, because the money to develop what Justin is doing will see very l...

Go the separate route I used a cheap sunwin 48-72v 1500w on max settings it pushes 58amp at 16s the motor seemed to lap it up accelerate to 30mph then turbo would kick in and 40mph followed quickly then ring it's neck to just under 50mph, I'm still not sure what the controller was doing but I think ...

I love this build it shows your determination to ride an electric scooter is so much you built your own, I like the heavy duty front bearing on the plastic wheel I know most would say nasty things but they miss the point you have done well with what you was given, I'd ride it maybe not 50mph but I'd...

[quote=spinningmagnets post_id=1369979 time=1522859295 user_id=5883] This one? If yes, what is the diameter of the threaded part of the axle, and what is the tire size (from the tire sidewall)?
