Wheel builder UK?
Hi all I have just built my second E-Bike due to upgrading to a larger 29er bike, my original kit is a 60v 27.5" Rear and still on the cheap Chinese rim. i have called over 6-7 local bike shops to try and get my hub motor re built on my 29" rim with no joy!! for some reason nobody will touch it. If ...

Re: First Build 29ER do i use a 700c ?
"29 inch" is a marketing term that means 700C with a fat tire. Any city or touring bike rim is therefore a 29er rim if you put a 29er tire on it. Very narrow racing and sport rims will fit a 29er tire, but the tire will have to be overinflated to stabilize it on a rim that's too narrow. The wider a...

Re: First Build 29ER do i use a 700c ?
DT Swiss makes a 29er Rim, it is called the 485 D ( D means it is a rim for disc brake bikes ) it will be wider on the inside than a 700c rim so it will be better for your wider tires. DT Swiss also makes Rim's for e-bikes. When getting a hub motor, get one that has 32 spoke holes. and Your local R...

First Build 29ER do i use a 700c ?
Hi all, I have been commuting on my 12s Dual drive Electric longborad for the last year and a half, but due to a slipped disc im finding it hard to ride for long periods of time, so I've decided to convert my 21" Cube Aim 29er. After a week of reading and searching the web I've decided on a hub driv...

Re: NEWBIE PART 1 :... Single Motor Choice ?
Im only running a 9mm belt...its probably more to do with my size and the amount of hills around me, i know a lot of people run a 9mm belt with no problems, im waiting for some 15mm pulleys ive had made to use with SK3 motors, hopefully i will be able to run my 32T/14T ratio with a 15mm belt. Ive ha...

Re: NEWBIE PART 1 :... Single Motor Choice ?
I have been swapping motors regularly, from a Turnigy 6374 192kv to a 6364 245kv on a single drive setup using 6s I have also tried 20T/40T.... 15T/36T & 14T/32T gearing, using anything lower than the 20T/40T i get really bad belt slip.... the more teeth in mesh on the larger pulleys definitely help...

Re: Board runs but rather slow?
I like my 6374 192kv, has loads of Torque on 6s..Hits 20mph and pulls my fat ass up hills with no problem I would definitely try an old brushless motor with your ESC before you hook up a new motor....You will be gutted if you fry another new motor! See if your local hobby shop will test your ESC for...

Re: Another Noob Build!
I'll send you a new set once I get it.. Should be next week sometime. The new set is just smaller typical is around 16T/36T for my setups but the other's available are usually very similar. 12T to 16T for motor pulley and 32T/36T normally for drive wheel pulleys. The belt being as close to the whee...

Re: Wiiceiver vs. GT2B Faceoff
You got to try this one too.. It beats the GT2B in my eyes. Simply because of the awesome small form factor. I'm so glad I got rid of the GT2B and didn't have to 3D print an enclosure. Uses (2) AA batteries and a 2.4ghz RC Receiver. Has lasted for about a month without changing batteries. http://di...
