Does this go here?
Referring to the above post
Its a Cyclone 3000W powered e-trike/velomobile, and this is the Cyclone 3000W thread. All my eBikes, eTrikes all use Cyclone 3000W motors.

Re: KMX Trike Front Suspension

Thanks man, and like I said, there was a VERY steep learning curve... the computer took care of most of the guesswork, I measured the suspension travel without shock and planned for that. I usually cruise to work at ~40mph, and the trike is rock solid and planted on the road at this speed, even at t...

Re: KMX Trike Front Suspension

It weights about the same as A-1, but I think I run slightly higher pressure than A-1 to have a firmer suspension than A-1 did. The tires clear the body, no contact, there is about 1 cm of clearance between the body edge and the tire. It was probably the most challenging part to build, and to do it ...

Re: KMX Trike Front Suspension

Thank you... greatly appreciated, I think the suspension was a huge part for making this happen. When Adam got in touch with me to test the rear suspension prototype the body was already made and I couldn't install it... otherwise I would've loved to have a full suspension velo-race-mobile-car... ma...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Very good, I guess the cooling gets better too that way. I will go as far as saying this is the way the cyclones should have been sold from the start. You don't need 2 stages for this motor at all. Well, you have to remember that these kits came out well over 5 years ago, the eBike landscape looked...

Wassup man, long time no post... how is this project going? Any traction? :D Remember you don't need 18kW to hit 70!!, all you need is some fancy aeroshell, and gears. :D The 100 mile range is certainly now within A-3's grasp... just need to build a new battery... :) https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn...

Wassup folks, long time no post... I see there is the ruthless pursuit of powa going on... pretty cool... 150 amps! How is the chain holding? :D insane power. Let's put it that way: improving aero was my next step after boosting the battery capacity. I don't mind going 150 or 200 miles per charge and keep my mind open for anything that works. And brute force usually works! Thanks. And yeah, I agree, brute force always works, and if it doesn't its just be...

Re: 100+ Miles of Fun per Charge: 5.1kWh batt, 20kw capable

Aero shouldn't even be a concern for speeds between 20-25mph. You might be able to gain 10% range with a fairing but clearly this isn't a concern for most people as very few examples of fairings for e bikes exist. Obviously a trike will have much less drag compared to a bike because of the frontal ...

With good "battery management", hence why use a BMS... I thought the same way you did, until packs ruined, a 300 dollar mistake I don't plan on repeating. During my 3 years commuting on EVs to work I've seen plenty of 18S packs that display a clear 69 Volt reading in CA, especially so during cold mo...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

I advice against parallel charging, use three or four 6S chargers to balance all the cells, every time. In my years of RC and EV experience, parallel charging is the fastest way to ruin your packs in demanding applications, been there, done that, and twice to be exact. After 8000 miles and three dam...

I've only mentioned trikes b/c I did the aero upgrades on a trike, the same way it could've been done on an upright MTB. Then you decided it was important to point the trikes can't do rocks or logs... who cares, that was not the point of my post, but you quickly jumped to compare aerodynamics with l...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Nice, SickBikeParts.com also carries the kit if you don't want to wait. 20S 6200 mAh should work well for shor range, depending on speed your Wh/mile will change drastically, @ 30mph average should be close to 45 Wh/mile on upright eBike. Dingus will tell you to stay away from Kelly controllers, whi...

Not the point of why I posted. Again, forget the trike... the point is that you could extend the range of that pack further with some aero tweaks that don't require enclosing your eBike inside a shell of any kind as Voltron seems to think... that's all. Yeah...copying a fairing because I'm too lazy to design one... ha! You seem to think the aero shell is impractical around town.. I think a trike is impractical off-road. We all have something we value more than something else in a design, but that doesn't make a different path wrong just because it...
