KT LCD3 info 00 error

Has anyone ever seen an Info 00 error on their KT LCD3? All the other errors are in the docs but I can't find any reference to this one. It comes and goes and the motor continues to receive power even during the screen blanking out so I am inclined to think it is an LCD error rather than a controlle...

Re: Sortimo electric cargo trikes

I ride a tadpole trike. Soon it will have a motor for hills and start/stop riding in the city. Trikes corner at the same speeds a car would: - you brake for corners, if the inside wheel lifts you are going too fast - you use your weight in a similar fashion to when you are in a side car equiped moto...

Re: 45km/h pedelec petition for Aussies

When I was running my "250" W GSM mid drive unrestricted (no speed sensor) the GPS was showing 42-45 km/h on the flat. The problem with that kind of speed on what is seen as a push bike is car drivers, they expect you to be doing half that speed so they will pull out in front of you. That is why s-p...

Re: Project: Home made velomobile design with crank or mid m

OK I have advanced some in my thought process. It is hotter than Norway where I live, and quite warm about 9 months of the year, so the canopy was not going to work all year round. I have redrawn so that the roof section can be removed (and stored in the nose). The canopy hinges further up the scree...

Re: Project: Home made velomobile design with crank or mid m

I liked your original velomobile and the new one is even better! My project is to have a removable body for a trike (AZUB, HPVelotechnik...) because the summer is too warm here for an enclosed body. As you have run the design through aerodynamic tests it would be really great to have some drawings w...

Re: 4-wire PAS

Damn I bet it was the throttle connector... That would be the only logical explanation for the motor kicking in. Brakes are twin black and yellow and there is a second black and yellow alone. PAS is black red and green and the connector I was using is black red and white. More testing tomorrow. Toda...

Re: 4-wire PAS

There is something wrong somewhere... Today fed up with unfinished wiring I swapped out the 09 controller for the no name 15 W controller which came with my mxus. Behaviour was almost identical. Are settings saved in the LCD? Does the factory reset option wipe them? I accidentally shorted the white ...

Re: 4-wire PAS

P3 =1 for current control to avoid the motor cutting at different speeds in different gears. One last time... Since I have set P3 =1 I have noticed that the motor cuts out at different speeds depending on assist level. When I say speed I mean the one shown on the LCD. But the perceived speed is abo...

Re: 4-wire PAS

I tried all kinds of combinations today. At one time I though I had it cracked but it went back to using the motor hall. I am giving up on this controller, on this bike, I will use it with my Mxus hub motor. No rush though the bike is running just fine and cut off is near enough to 25 km/h for me ac...

Re: 4-wire PAS

Thanks d8veh I'll try that combination of settings. I wanted to keep the ease of stepping through the bike instead of leg over. My first thought when I saw the frame was HL battery with internal controller on top bar as you say. I have designed a box that holds 10 Ah of lipo and the 09 controller is...

Re: 4-wire PAS

I got it to work but...

- the P options need to be as noted above
- external speed sensor stopped working...

The PAS gives a speed reading up to 25 km/h which of course isn't really that speed because PAS can't know how fast the wheels are turning...

Re: 4-wire PAS

I have been trying to get the PAS to work with a GSM mid-drive motor and so far no dice...

How does one wire a three wire PAS sensor to work with this controller?

TIA

Re: What range would entry-level ebike commuters need/want/u

All of Europe ( and Japan and Australia etc.) gets by with 250 W nominative motors (up to 600 W in reality) and most systems are 36 V. We have hills, and even mountains! My commute is 38 km if I miss the train and 15 if I don't so about 100 km would be nice. That is at least a 15 Ah battery, 17 Ah w...

Re: My solution to Li-po Fires

Carbon fibre conducts electricity. That is why you don't go rowing in a thunderstorm! It will create a huge arc. I would have done the same with biaxial glass which melts but doesn't burn and does not conduct electricity. Epoxy on the whole is pretty neutral once cured and not as inflammable as poly...

Re: Stromer: anyone upgrade their bike from an Elite to Plat

The difference between an elite and a platinum is the bike components - gears cranks derailleurs. Everything else is the same. At least on the European versions.

Maybe you mean you want a Power 48 motor instead of a Mountain 33?
