Been using this for the past 3 years (the APR48-ES version to be exact), my bro uses it almost daily to charge his 14S traction battery on his Aixam.
If you get the 3G version it can be modded simply with a resistor.

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

Not on the QS 3K but on other motors like the Denzel.
I ended up welding the sprocket to the shaft because the key shredded itself a couple times, chewing up the shaft in the process. I've had no problems since then

TBH I'd just weld the sprocket on the shaft, always worked for me

Re: Noisy halls on sinus controller

I think you should look at the output of the motor phases. Kelly doesn't play well with blocky sine output motors. I had some serious issues with the Denzel motors and had to go with a sensorless squarewave controller because the incorrectly timed halls caused the motor to overheat within minutes.

Re: Minimum battery voltage for sinewave controllers?

I believe it's because the motor voltage refers to nominal battery voltage.
I don't think I've ever seen motor voltage refer to phase voltage.

Re: bluetooth BMS?

Why would it ever need to supply 60A for ten minutes, have you ever been on an ebike?
I'd like to see the Controller pull 60A even for just a second, a 5S VTC6 pack can handle 60A without catching fire for sure.

Re: bluetooth BMS?

In my case all the BMSs that I bought from LTT could easily handle their rated current. So you say the continuous 60A rated bms i bought from LLT, actually does only 30A for real?? What kind of bms would be appropriate for my application? It looks like you still don't understand, it's not the fault ...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

Sorry i don't understand what you mean. Besides that it doesn't provide more than 30A it seems to work fine. It seems you don't since the BMS doesn't ''provide'' current but rather the Controller draws current. The BMS monitors current and shuts off if the current being drawn is above the limit set...

Well since the motor is already open you can just count the poles.
You can probably figure the encoder out by looking at the wires, or shoot these guys an email.

Re: Filler cap used as access for charging?

The issue with the Type 2 is the interlocking, it would cost almost 200 USD for the whole set including a custom wire harness. A (good looking) waterproof opening for charging in the motorcycle tank is really the primary aim of the game. If a standard motorcycle filler cap was large enough to accept...

Re: Filler cap used as access for charging?

Well the impression I got was that this is a DIY EV project so I assumed that high power public charge points were out of the question since you mentioned 240V. I also think you misunderstood what I meant. If you are just charging with 240V at 2KW then any standard 240V socket in that spot would do ...

Re: E BIKE THROTTLE NOT WORKING

It could be several things.
1. Throttle has to be enabled first in the LCD settings
2. Throttle is unplugged or wired incorrectly
3. Throttle is defective (damaged wiring)
4. Throttle only works when you are pedaling faster than 6Km/h

Re: bluetooth BMS?

The problem is that in the wiring diagram the: - positive power connector for the board (usually the final pin on the board) Is wired as the final pin and the pin before that. Both of the wires should be connected to the same positive terminal. Is it that one of them is for cell voltage and one is ...

Re: Eaton APR48-3G 1.8kW Light Compact Charger PSU

Of course you can use these PSUs as chargers I've been doing it for almost 2 years now. After it reaches 50V, I don't bet what happend, I would think amp would decrease but without certainty. If you set the charger to 50V it will charge the battery to 50V that's it. Once the Battery has reached the ...

Re: How To Measure Ring Terminals?

I see, that happened to me as well it never bothered me though. I don't know what wire AWG you have but I solved this by using a smaller lug and soldering the left over strands to the lug. You then add some heatshrink to the end and that's it :D But you can use AWG sized lugs of course you just have...

Re: Filler cap used as access for charging?

Doesn't matter what country it's used for really, it's supposed to be a one-off DIY plug that looks nice and professional. The type 2 requires a motor to lock the charging cable, if that's too much work for you can use type 1. Type 1 is self locking, check out these links Plug: https://www.aliexpres...

Buying it like this is most times more expensive, shipping+import tax + you get no real warranty on that thing even if they claim it does.

You can simply mount this where the filler cap used to be.
I've also seen Damien put a regular 400V plug there
