It'll stay in the Outbox until the other person reads it.

Nice Controller project btw :thumb:

https://imgur.com/a/gevHkWj Had a little accident today  I wanted to charge a Cell with my EBC-A10 Charger...while the UART programmer was still plugged into my PC  It blew the GND trace on the BMS and my UART programmer and probably did some more damage. I tried soldering the blown tra...

Do some research on Delta vs WYE termination, it should clear some things up.

Re: SiliXcon FOC Controllers, small, powerfull and many features

Hmm the SC and SL Controllers are interesting since they go up to 24S Lipo according to the datasheet. EDIT: It's the same guy that made this video. https://youtu.be/PcBaZ9sO9A4 I remember him posting about his Controller Company on here a few years ago. It used to be called PearControl https://endl...

That depends on what the Batteries have been through.
You didn't even mention what kind of batteries you've got.

Re: Soldering novice: charger wire to BMS board

You can take a drill to it if you don't damage the copper trace underneath the PCB coating. But I think you might be having an issue with your soldering iron or method of soldering. Do you have any flux for soldering or rosin core solder? If you use solder made for plumbing it won't stick to the cop...

Re: Knight Electric Motorcycle 5000w

I agree with Skeetab5780 100% I'm pretty confident in my DIY Lithium Batteries. I got myself a cheap electric scooter 3 years ago that I immediately retrofitted with a new Controller and lithium battery. I put in a 72V 30Ah pack that is still going strong today, not something you can say of most Chi...

Re: Kelly KLS 7218-M Identification not working

246C in the controller would be cutting the power but you should get overtemp error from the controller at the same time.. I don't think so, because it's not reading the thermal sensor in the first place. My guess would be that the thermal sensor got disconnected somehow, ie. broken wire. Whatever ...

Re: Kelly KLS 7218-M Identification not working

I think your controller has an issue. If you look at the status tab it says Controller temp 246c!
It's also reporting ''internal error'' on the status screen.

I suggest you contact Kelly support for warranty repair.

Re: bluetooth BMS?

The 100A version is more than enough for 80A bursts.
I'm not 100% sure about the balance wires on that BMS version, but looking at the pics you will have to make it yourself.
It's not difficult at all you just have to plug the pins into the connector.

What is the voltage delta between the two groups?
You could also try power cycling the BMS.

B or C grade cells aren't marked in some cases.
But since the Capacity checks out then maybe you could try measuring their internal resistance.

Re: Help wiring brakes.

After connecting the EBS wires, did you try shorting the low potential break wires? I just want to make sure since there are some people that don't know that. The identification procedure is used only once when connecting it to a new motor. If the motor is spinning in the right direction, then there...

I might make another one where I solder the Cells in different configs.

If you do the math you consume 90Wh/km which sounds reasonable for a 400kg car.
I consume ~55wh/km on my moped going 50km/h

looks a little wrinkly!
Indeed, also has some Alu oxidation which is very un-LG like quality.
I have some 15Ah LG pouch cells, they have a plastic coating on them and look way better.

Re: 22 cell charger can charge 20?

That's great to see but I'm worried about your battery life.
I would make sure it absolutely doesn't go over 84V, ideally 83-82V.
Lipos degrade faster if you charge them to 4.25V every time.

Connecting the EBS to GND via a switch should give you regen.

Re: 22 cell charger can charge 20?

It doesn't seem too strange.

It's just that at 84V the current is supposed to start dropping until it hits 0.1A or so.
So maybe you need to lower the voltage some more.
You usually don't have to mess with the other two Potentiometers.

I welded a 300 Cell Pack with the stock cables just fine.
You need to have the Welder above the Cells, similar to this:
