Re: Parallel Harness

XT60 can do 60A for a long time - my personal experience. They are much smaller if space is an issue. If not, xt90 is always nice and you can get them with anti spark resistor included. The batteries are ok if you don't need to pull too many amps. Saying they are crap generally is bs. It depends on...

I would use XT90 Connectors too.

If i wanted to use two 9s batteries in parallel would i need XT90s? The batteries would be 3 3S1P in series with 20-30C output.

Re: Can anyone edit this 3D print file for a 4 battery enclo

No he does not have a step file or something other than stl or solid works format to edit. Makes it pretty tough. Seriously? It would be faster to remodel the whole shape instead anyway. About 6 linear extrudes, a bevel and 2 rounds, assuming the image is correct... What size did you want the batte...

I would like to use this enclosure but I am using 6 batteries. If anyone is good with 3D file editing can you please comment if you can try to edit this file. Re: 3D printable enclosure for 1 motor

I am looking for a case that is long enough for 6 zippy batteries. If dimensions would help, something around 30-35cm by 16cm by 3.5cm. If anyone knows of one that can be 3d printed or a site that has good containers that can be converted into enclosure please post them here. Anything helps!

Need a good wattmeter

Anyone who has/ knows of good accurate watt meters that will let me know when my batteries are running low, post the links. Most of the ones I see on here people say fail after a short period of time or are not accurate. Would love to know who has decent ones and where I can get them.

Re: 3D printable enclosure for 1 motor

I've got this one, which accommodates 1 vesc and nothing else. The only reason I didn't combine everything on my board to one enclosure is that I didn't want to have to re-solder everything. As a result it looks like a snake; with separate cases for batteries, antispark & ESC. Screen Shot 2016-03-1...

Re: 3D printable enclosure for 1 motor

I can make one for you and upload the .stl file to Thingiverse. What length, height, width are you looking for? I'd assume, you'd want it separate. That would be awesome. This board may be trick though, the bottom is not flat. It is 26 centimeters wide but is only flat for about 13 centimeters in t...

I am not sure how to go about picking the best gear ratio. I have a Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 6364-245kv Brushless Outrunner Motor and am using a 9S2P setup for batteries and 83mm Flywheels. And info helps.

4mm bullet for 5.5mm VESC connections

My motor has 4mm bullet connectors for the connection to my esc. I am using a VESC however which has 5.5mm female bullet connector leads. I am wondering what is the best way to make this work, cut the 4mm connectors and replace them with 5.5mm, or is there an adapter I can purchase to help with this...

Re: DIY Electro-Trampa and boosted inspired electric longboa

XT60 connectors will not be a problem. I did something very similar on my build: http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo291/pimp_daddy_photo/IMG_7813.jpg XT90's are huge, I just used one for the loop key. I used 5.5mm bullet connectors to connect my wattmeter but you could also use an XT60. If you're...

I am planning on soldering my batteries to XT90 connectors and making a harness that will connect the 3 batteries together to one XT90 port so I can take the batteries in and out of the series with ease. Hi Squad , would you happen to have more info on how you built your Wheel Gears Hubs ? 15mm wide wheel gears seem very hard to find ! Thanks. Can your weakest component cope with 200A just before the fuse blows ?
The VESC can reach 250 for a few seconds but my motors max current says its 70A. But I think the VESC protects the motor correct?
