Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I cant see any cracks on the bearing spline.. am i looking in the right place ? Yes, you're looking at the right place, but you need to remove that brown plastic ring (dust seal). Then you can see those splines, check carefully, all of them need to line up in the same direction. If you feel a remar...

Has anyone experienced any slipping of the gears under sudden high load
Yes, this is a known problem we already discussed on page 49.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Let me ask you this though.. a big qualm i had with the Bafang bbs02 was that it put the pedal position out on one leg by 10mm.. is there any offset in the pedals of this drive? Yes, there's remarkable offset. But you can compensate it with a single right Bafang BBS crankarm. It reduces rhe Q-fakto...

Re: bbs01 36v 500w stator

The rotor of the 500W (BBS02) is ~5mm larger than the 250/350W (BBS01). So the stator will be larger too.
That's the main reason for the weight difference between bbs01 and 02.

Did you fry the windings?
Then I would go for a bare motor.
You could sell the used drive unit in parts to cover some of your expenses.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Andy,
this is a known problem.
Get yourself a right crankarm from Bafang BSxx, then your pedals are symmetrical again.
You can order from greenbikekit or aliexpress, this stuff is unexpensive.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The chainwheel is attached to the main gear, right? So the main gear may be driven by both, the motor and the rider, right? The motor turns the small pinion to move the maingear, that's why there are so many teeth on it! And the rider rotates the crankshaft, it engages at the crappy bearing inside t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Coaster brake version you can't backpedal. In terms of reliability there hasn't been too much improvement. The one-way bearing of the main gear is still a CSK 30 P, rated 110Nm, that equals a person weighing in 65Kg standing at the edge of a 170mm crankarm, usually a pedal. That's made to fail. Ther...

The EggRider is out now.
It is an App and a Bluetooth dongle to replace the display.
And by the way, you can change any programming setting on the fly.

If you want ro disable the speed limit, just set "magnetic" at the end of the menu at 2 or 10 or whatever fits your needs.

Re: "other" brand mid drives

This Tongsheng TSDZ2 is another retrofit kit. As you are from Denmark, maybe you're looking for an EU- legal drive. This one has 250W or 350W and torque sensing, similar to the Bosch Drive Unit. It's quite cheap and spare parts are widely available at pswpower.com I've got 3400Km on mine already wit...

The 36V BBS01 doesn't wo:k on a 48V battery. The OVP is set at 45V .
But there is a 48V version out there. e.g. at Bmsbattery.

The width of the 01 rotor and the 02 rotor differs a little bit.
That's why they are sold in two versions at greenbikekit.
The Controller of version B has updated MosFETs in it.

Oh, I forgot to mention one thing: the included crank arms together with the bulk on the drive side makes for an absoultely ridiculous q-factor, sqewed heavily to the right.. Maybe you should try some cheap 170mm crank arms from a Bafang BBSxx. They don't have that much offset. I ride with a Tongsh...

It would be useful to mention what version of Bosch Powerpack you have, is it Classic or Performance? Did you already open the plastic casing? Guess you're located in Europe. You can get your Powerpack re-celled at akkuplus.de in Germany. There's two options of battery capacity to choose from. If you want to swap the cellblock yourself, you can buy a bare cellblock and save some shipping expenses. https://akkuplus.de/Akkupack-fuer-Bosch-Po...

Maybe that's what you are looking for. It is a DIY trailer made of glass fiber, with space for travelling gear and lots of batteries. Similar to the bushtrekka trailer. There are hydraulic brakes on it plus a second brake lever on the left side of the bike's handlebar. For cruising without trailer h...

Hi @Garth,
don't be shy.
Set your DC-DC Converter on 54.6V and give it a try.
If this worked out well, try 58.8V.
We all want to know :D

Hi Garth,
did you try higher voltage on your sfm du250 TSDZ2 whatever? With your dc converter it might be possible.
I'd like to know if a 13s battery with 54.6v hot from the charger is OK for that drive. :D
