Re: GNG X1-pro 3000w

Excerpt from my ongoing email exchange regarding the X1:

"Yes, the controller will be suitable to go up to 20s. 36-72V rated. If it is too fast, you can limit the rpm via our app. We are working hard to fine tune the controller performance. Thanks for your waiting!"

Best regards,
Jon

redline2097 no stock, there is a queue. 6F production come first, than bms and 24F Vasili, please put me on the list for a 12F and a 6F complete sets for when they become available. Vasili, if it's ok with you, i would like to keep just the 12F controller. I got a Grin Phaserunner for the lower pow...

Re: BBSHD + Grin Phaserunner (52V okay, 72V problem)

I have used mine for almost one year for commuting with no motor issues so far. I had to reflash the original Phaserunner firmware once and redo the autotune and some parameters after i opened the motor for cleaning/greasing but other than that never had any issues with my setup, the motor runs quie...

Re: DaVinci Drive with 3220 motor $1,200

Thanks for the suggestion Matt. I will try to envision a way to mount it and figure what other parts it would involve(mounting bracket mainly) and if it is not way too complicated (i don't possess Matty's mental resillience and skill) and if still available, i'll take it (Castle ESC, throttle box & ...

Any possible way to squeeze it in there somehow?

One more pic with my personal tractor semi trailer.
I do drive a real one for a living but this little one is much more fun.

Re: Paradox Kinetics Hermes

I did purchase it from the Cyclecentric UK (the Airnimal site) It comes stock with a decent but basic Rockshox 155mm rear shock which i replaced with a Magura MX 165mm. I haven't had the chance to put it through its paces in rougher terrain but i wouldn't consider it a proper mountain bike. Maybe so...

Re: Neppy's 3 year long minivelo / folding bike failed build

Thinking about it for a moment, the bottom bracket is part of the rear triangle structure (subframe? )so there can't be any flex between it and the frame since there isn't any torque transfered to it. But the whole frame seems to have been designed with folding into a compact form factor foremost so...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Matteo,
Could you tell me the BCD of the smaller chainring?
I am contemplating a belt drive and it seems to me the mounting pattern for both chainrings is proprietary.
I was wondering if a Bafang adapter either for the classic or HD might work.

Re: Paradox Kinetics Hermes

Thanks Luke! I'm much flattered. @dojrude It is a more expensive build, maybe too expensive for what it is, but i wanted something that appealed to me from an esthetic point of view. For value/performance/resilliency, i don't think there is anything that beats a BBSHD at the present time but in gene...

@neptronix: the noise is coming from the controller which is not sine wave. If you couple it with a sine wave controller the motor has the sound of a breeze. That will come soon.
The last sentence, does it mean you are working on a sine wave controller?

Re: Neppy's 3 year long minivelo / folding bike failed build

Maybe this one shows a little better the attachment of the rear triangle.
It doesn't look like much but i could not feel any flex at all with a 1500W mid drive.

Re: Neppy's 3 year long minivelo / folding bike failed build

I have a Rhino frame and it is seems pretty strong to me. It is hard to tell in the pic how thick the plates that support the pivot bearings are but they are beefy. I would say a hub motor should not pose any threat. The dropouts spacing is 135mm, they are vertical but can be moved horizontally for ...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Thank you Matteo!
I use shorter cranks on powerful motors anyway so pedal strokes are never a concern.
I don't even pretend to pedal on my commuter, i have both cranks mounted in parallel as foot pegs which i plan to do anyway with the Bikee Bike motor.

Re: Paradox Kinetics Hermes

It is sort of a folder.
The rear triangle pivots underneath the top tube with the front wheel removed.
It is a well thought out frame, very light, very nicely finished.
The only drawback is that the top tube is so freakin short it is hard to find a battery that will fit.

Re: Bikee Bike final review

As far as loudness, at least with a Phaserunner, doesn't seem bad at all. Quite the contrary. It's been on my shopping list for quite a while, it is the fact that it's offset to one side that prevented me from getting it already. I don't believe an engineer with a background in electrical motors can...

Paradox Kinetics Hermes

Here is a little bike i put together. I can only compare the Hermes with a BBSHD which i have on my daily commuter though that is a 72V setup and this is only 48V. The Hermes, to my eyes, is the best looking peice of kit out there. It seems to me very well thought out for its intended use. It has an...
