Re: BBS01 Controller Upgrade 36V to 48V
Ok I did my first real run today, to work and home. The way home is around 10 km, with the last 1km with an increase in height of around 86m, I live on a big hill. When getting home the motor was warm, but not hot. It is cold out here now, around +5 degrees celsius. It is running at 48V and 14A righ...

Re: MAC speed sensor adding
Most likely you have a white wire hidden in the harness with all the other hall sensor wires. But to be honest, taking a part a brand new mac motor, and do mod if this type on it does not seem like a good choose if you have not done similar things before, it is a tight fit and you might end up destr...

Re: MAC speed sensor adding
Grin has done such a mod: https://ebikes.ca/product-info/grin-kits/gmac.html Thou it is unclear on where they positioned it. I recently opened my motor (mac 10T) to check wiring and so on, it is alot of space to do mods, but you would need a hall sensor and then position 1 or 2 magnets in the top ca...

Mac motor t10 and phaserunner v1
Hi, thinking of upgrading to a mid engine build and checking if there is any interest in any of these things? They are located in Sweden, send me a PM if you are interested and we can then discuss shipping and so on. I can send pictures and other details for both. I have upgraded the phaserunner and...

Re: BBS01 Controller Upgrade 36V to 48V
Kicking this thread back to life another time, anyone want to report on long term use for a bbs01 with 48V? Any mechanical issues? What do you limit the current to? Thinking of going with a 48V 500W controller and limit that to 15A EDIT: UPDATE: Well I got a 48V controller, installation was without ...

Re: Phaserunner Help on LED codes 2-5 and 2-7
Did you ever get a responce to what does error messages were? Or did you change any settings to make it work? I have a similar issue when my v1 phaserunner now gives me the "Code 2-7 POST Dynamic Gate Test Outside Range" I have no idea what that means and the only thing I have replaced in ...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Hi, I recently started to get the following error on my v1 phaserunner: "POST dynamic gating test" I have no idea what that could even be... I can ride the bike for a while, sometimes 6 min, sometimes 15 min, then it stops responding to throttle/PAS input. It jsut sits there, after a while...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
I could not really find an answer for this, what is the best quality BMS that is available today?
I would need a 13S 30A or similar for a new battery build...
Price is not really the priority but quality and the possibility to monitor battery stats

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
How well does the Phaserunner work with a Mac 10T? I have one, which stopped working after about 200km of light use. Seems like the phase wires are good, but the halls are all shot. I have been running one for over 3 years without halls connected no issues, you do need to "kick start" it ...

Re: Cruise control possiy on Phaserunner?
The throttle should just give the controller a voltage between 0 and 5V, that corresponds to a current that the controller outputs. The phaserunner has some nice programing so that it checks if there is load on the wheel or not and limits the torque if needed. But what your cruise control accessory ...

Re: Reliability & drivetrain wear on 30mph, 350 mi/wk commut
Hi, I can just talk about my own experiences. I am commuting to work in Sweden, whole year round, only stopping if we have snow. So far I have done 3000 km in 6 months. I have 10km single trip every day. I use an older Scott sub 40, a hybrid type of bike, at 48V with a 700c wheel, running my mac 10t...

Re: Commuter
Hi some updates now after 2000km I had to change the connectors between battery and controller from APP to XT90-s, anti-spark connector. Works as a charm now. See attached images of the melted APP. Re: Commuter
Update 1000km into the commuting. So far so good, had some issues with the BMS, but that was during 1 charge and has not happened since... V-brake pads has been changed 1 time, front and back and chain was replaced in the beginning since it was old and for an 8 speed setup, I now have a 9 speed. Max...

Re: MXUS and MAC wonders
Mac is too expensive relative to the performance benefits they offer. They are also sold only by Cutler Mac and require their own controllers which are also expensive and compete too closely with the BBS motors in price. As a company I find them difficult to deal with. Just saying. It's been a whil...

Re: Commuter
Nice setup; I love a good commuter build. Just curious; do find you have enough braking power? I have no issues with looking my rear wheel, or front, but it is a different brake distance compared to my car, so you have to adapt. On my next build, when ever that is going to be I will most likely go ...

Re: No One Gives A Rat’s Ass
For me, I built my own bike because of two reasons: 1) I wanted to use a throttle at any time, like a scooter or similar. 2) It would be fun to build it and learn the process. My wife has a great bosch ebike that is just perfect for short commutes of around 5km, but it has two major flaus. 1) It is ...

Hey guys, wanted to share my build with you all, after all you did help me to build it. Short background and then pictures, I have 10km to work, I built my first this year, I used my 2011 scott sub 40 as base and got a hold of a used falco 500W kit, I used it for a while but never managed to get the...

Re: electronics to convert Meanwell HLG supply into a charge
So for me reading 3 pages of discussion I now got confused, to use this type of charger for a single 13s pack, are any modifications needed? What was the conclsion of outcome for when the charger reaches max CV and sets the current to 0? Does it harm your battery?

Ok, I hear what you are saying, lol, can anyone tell me how warm the controller gets if I limit it to 13s/25A and run it at that for 30 min? Can it survive being in a triangle bag or will it overheat?
