Re: Dreambuild EMTB Dengfu M09/Luna X1 Bafang M600 with a slacker fork angle/Increased wheelbase

The exact set up I have just been made aware of, it looks perfect!...any idea how many 18650 cells could fit in the battery compartment? I have emailed them to see about prices etc...would you mind telling me what your interaction with them was like: payment method, speed of turnaround from payment ...

Re: Mid drive DIY frames?

I didn't know about the dolphin surrounds being a separate item you could buy...thank you! I have spoken with Electron cycles, very helpful chap once you can get hold of him. Frames, I have previously built a mid drive on a stumpjumper fsr frame with lipo back pack style batteries (still have the mt...

Re: Mid drive DIY frames?

Thanks for the input guys, appreciate it.

My only real issue with converting bike frames ( other than it doesn't look as slick) is the battery mounting... finding a good hard shell case is a challenge... any ideas?

Re: Mid drive DIY frames?

How fast: about 30-40 mph max

Terrain: mix of road and downhill so some kind of all mountain/enduro frame

Jumps: yes but nothing big...a few feet at most

Range: 30+ miles at a mix of PAS and occasional throttle

Mid drive DIY frames?

Afternoon All, I am about to embark upon my next build and would love some input from you fine folk. The cyc x1 pro gen 2 looks like the front runner right now as I am a mid drive guy at heart due to my motor bike years and offroad use. I am trying to put together as many frame options as possible a...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Why do you not use the standard cyc controller for those kind of power requirement? I am very close to getting one of these kits with the standard controller for mostly PAS use and some throttle for fun up the hills

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Yes Tangent is expensive for sure but if it's quicker off the mark then it is worth it :) A comparison vid would be great If you want fast, get the CYC with the BAC 2000 controller. Big power. But, you have to figure out where to mount the controller.. I am actually at a stage where I have as much ...

LMX64 (UK)

Gathering info for my next build and I think I really want a LMX 64 frame to base it around...any second hand ones about?

Hell, I'd consider the whole bike if the price were right?

Does anyone know the correct bearing for the internals of the gen 1 box? carrier bearings and cam bearings?

Thanks

Simply because I have a 3220 already and the gearbox for this is a good price and the motors are a pretty close match in kv and both 80mm

OK so who here has tried the astro 3220 with this set up? I have one and am considering getting the barebones gearbox but wondering what mods will need to be done to allow it fit and function?

Re: Mid-drive motor on an enduro bike frame

Sorry I meant tangentmotors.com but I'm not sure you can buy them right now/any more? Mine is noisier than most as it is mounted differently by way of direct to metal mounts without the rubber dampner it came with so the sound reverberates up the steel frame....but the noise is present and can be he...

Re: Mid-drive motor on an enduro bike frame

I have to big up the Tangent...had one for years now and love it. Chain snapping was an issue right at the start but it was only due to chainline issues...if you're snapping them that is the issue. I quickly switched to an afline 8 IGH and am on the same chain and chainrings as I was 1500 miles ago....
