So what DRV chip did you decide to use? The DRV8353?

Let me know if you need more testers, I'm happy to. Or you can join the https://www.electric-skateboard.builders and post your project here. We are always looking for new stuff like this 😁

Re: Help me build my first electric longboard

I have this controller on one of my boards and like it alot. It came in 7 days after I ordered. Includes receiver. It has two settings, slow and normal. On slow, it goes 1/2 the maximum speed. http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Electric-skateboard-Remote-Controller/dp/B00WQP6560/ref=sr_1_2?m=A3SJR32VUIH...

Re: What are your views on 3d printed mounts and pulleys?

I like the 3D printed gear better than the 36 teeth aluminum gear from DIY electric skateboard. I can't get the aluminum gear to bolt on straight and it always has a slight wobble. The 3D printed one self centered itself perfect. And the 3D printed one only cost me $2 in ABS. I didn't ride it enoug...

Re: What are your views on 3d printed mounts and pulleys?

3d printed motor mounts are fine for prototyping and to prove an idea. but it's best to move onto aluminium quickly after that, I don't want a motor mount letting go at 40km/h. Wheel pulleys are absolutely fine to be 3d printed. i have 100's of km clocked on printed pulleys and apart from a few din...

What are your views on 3d printed mounts and pulleys?

I'm just looking if it's worth taking the effort to use aluminium when I can just use a 3d printer

Re: Help me build my first electric longboard

That ESC won't do. It's only a 4S ESC.. You'll want a 6S 120A/150A ESC at least.. You'll want to wire (2) 3S packs in series for 6S 5ah. Thanks man i knew i didnt get the right ESC I found a battery that might work if not i will just get two 3s 25c 11.1v battery http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tattu-9000mA...
