Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Anyone try different Jackshaft bearings ? NSK/FAG/SKF/etc? Hoping to find a set that lasts longer then the cheaper Chinese and Timken brands. Or if they wear just the same I will stick to the cheaper ones. Some research shows that NSK Dynamic load is around 1060lbs and static load is 440lbs. Not sur...

Not to worry, the mega flood should take care of the drought.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Been a while since I’ve posted here, I bought my SurRon in 2018 after the initial rave reviews I read about here on ES and have never stopped mod’ing it, the only things I’ve left stock are some covers and trim, belt tensioner and the frame. 4ED99FAC-C69C-45C0-AECD-8BC8642C6F6E.jpeg what swing arm ...

Re: Electric standup jetski build

Yes. I don't know how your battery pack is built but adding extra Ah will "stiffen" the pack leading to less voltage sag (keeping the cells at higher voltage and less stress) while being able to pull more amps. I dont think another row will fit also this thing already weighs 35lbs! Might ...

Great result :thumb:
Maybe add another parallel string to the battery pack so the voltage sag is less and riding time increases?
Parallel string? Like another row of batteries to increase AH or is that a wiring thing? :)

Re: Electric standup jetski build

Much better! Went up in impeller pitch from 16 degree to 17 degrees and spent a couple hours hogging out and blueprinting the pump (cleaning up casting marks and sharping exit side of the pump veins) Kiddo was able to take off like a rocket without cavitation issues this time. *Also increased the ma...

Re: Portable snow tank for towing skiers

To save weight and time on the batteries you can wrap them in pvc/heat shrink. I used hydroturf under mine for padding and used a rubber strap to hold it in place.

Finally using these things (jetski build thread: https://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=116058 ) But am only getting 6-7ah out of them before they are showing dead.(shows 2% then a few hours later creeps back up to 10-14%) Is that normal? I figured I would at least get 10-12a...

Re: Electric standup jetski build

Been using the battery/bms now a few times but it is showing the battery dead after using only 6.8ah out of the 16ah and 66v out of the 84. Is that normal? Any suggestions on my settings? I took the screenshot when I got home from the lake and it now shows 12% but a few hours before that it was show...

Re: Electric standup jetski build

Took her out and only hit 18mph with this setup. So thinking the motor is not getting anywhere near the 6500rpms. Question now is do I go down in impeller pitch so its less work for the motor and more rpms OR do I go up in pitch so even though its spinning slower I will get more speed?

Making progress!
Thing is very quiet now with the coupler. Just barely a slight hum if you are close enough to hear it. And still no issues with motor over heating. Also got closer to getting my fat arse up on plan. Going to try swapping the skat 16 to a 15 next and see how she does.

Re: Electric Yamaha SuperJet Build

I would stick with the one you have for now. I am not sure about the 200 but the 100 you can run it much higher then its rated for. Also with the votol you have more control over the flux weakening to get the rpms up. And you already have it so may as well try it. :) A stock superjet runs about 6600...

Awesome build! That controller/motor combo should be great for a small adult and kids. Controller should not have any issues with heat. I worked with the guys from https://www.electroandcompany.com/ to get my controller dialed in and maxed out on power. Worth it if you are not familiar with the voto...

It's over $7.00/gal for premium here. Even higher for diesel. We are totally getting ripped off. Somebody is making a LOT of money. I also suspect there is a political component to the price gouging. Somebody wants to make the Democrats look bad. Hmmm, who could that be? I've seen this pattern seve...

We need to go Nuclear, its cleaner, cheaper, the only renewable energy source and better in every way. Cool, we'll ship the waste to your place, then. "Cleaner" my ass. Lots of info out there showing how it compares to other resources and it is much cleaner. Ted talk on it with graphs etc...
