Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

It's been interesting to follow the development of the opensource firmware. I'm hoping for a version to test with the xh18 display! :) It would be interesting to be able to see how much power in Wh and how many watts the motor is using at the moment. Heck, even a predicted range based on the last 20...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I should maybe add that this bike won't take a bafang motor, but will fit a Bewo mid drive motor. But the TSDZ2 would be my ideal choice if it will go on. Looks like you might have some trouble with the chainstay. But it seems there is more room in front of the BB so that you might perhaps get it t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you. Any ideas on fitting on my odd ball bike frame?4BCA5B6E-65B9-4F4D-BA5D-D170F1B7DD36.jpeg Seems like you need to do a bit of cutting on the motor case to make it fit. I did something similar to make it fit an older Larry vs Harry Bullitt frame (quite a few pages back in this thread), but ...

yep would love to run 11s on my 36v !!!
Do you need a firmware update for that? I can run 11s on my 36v. I've tried it and it works: slightly more power at a slightly higher cadence. Once my current 10s battery dies, I'll be replacing it with an 11s.

Re: Need help on SFM DU250 mid-drive (was Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor")

Hello, I recently bought a bicycle engine smf 250 DU 250 it's similar Tsdz2 after connecting i have a error code on Lcdisplay Can you help me?? E03 From what I've read, the du250 (and also Schachner, and a few others) is essentially the same as a tsdz2 250w with a few restrictions in the setup. If ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I need some help in the second task: the bike has currently a 2.4W front, and a 0,6W tail bulb in the lamps. The current coming from the sensor cable is not enough to drive these bulbs. If i connect only the tail bulb, its works, but if i connect only the front, it's not. So the current should less...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anybody know the reason for the following failure: tsdz2 gives boost only in the 6 km/h mode, not in a normal mode? I'm guessing somethings is up with the torque sensor? Perhaps that wire coming off it is broken? Number 5 in the picture in this post: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I think you are right. I would grind it off. I never hesitate to grind off cable guides, braze-ons, etc. if it looks like they are in the way and it might work. Looks like yours "might" allow the motor to rotate just enough to clear. Also, unless you are worried about warranty issues look how much ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I've been attempting to get it fit, even with grinding away much more than I think is smart, I've already voided the warranty and am looking for a replacement motor body (no luck), may end up buying a used/broken one if I find it somewhere, so I can install it on a different bike later if necessary...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Too bad it seems like this system is better suited to light commuting in a crowded urban streets than to any serious use by bike enthusiasts. Too many early failures. Despite my broken torque sensor, I still think this system can do some serious work. My broken torque sensor was an "early" spare pa...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

How do I replace the torque sensor in this ? any photos of it ? It's a bit tricky. It sits behind the main gear wheel assembly and extends into the bottom bracket tube. There are three tiny springs that will pop out of its seats when you knock out the sensor from the left side. Be sure to grab them...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The extra photos and measurements would be amazing, but don't waste too much time for my sake. I think your mention of having to take out some of the holes and area around the securing plate on the left side might make a difference. I'm definitely going to play with it again. I don't think I can st...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I purchased a Bullitt in December (2017) and ordered a TSDZ2 a few days later and after my first installation attempt I don't think it's possible to use these two together anymore. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if the design of one or both have changed such that, even with significant gr...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So I know my 36v is very perky when its fully charged but gets very lazy quickly. Im running 10S (42v max) but would really love to run 11s (46.2v) which would give it a bit of lift all through the battery level.... except for the high voltage cutoff in the controller. Anyway to up the HVC a little...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Just a quick report on the cadence thing: I recently received a new motor on warranty, proceeded to modify it with a 36v motor combined with a 48v controller and it works like a charm. Max cadence is now just about perfect, unless you´re extremely fit and pushing it. I highly recommend this solutio...

Or perhaps the dimensions? I think it is 28*15*7, but I need it verified.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I won´t spam the thread with any specifics about my order, but some related things may be of interest to most: *If 48V equals 4000 rpm then 52 should spin 4333. Good torque tempo would up from about a measly 70 cadence to some 76. However, the engine sticker on the 52V version promises 4500 - good ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Anyone had this problem? The "cable cover" touches the chain when using the biggest cog wheel of the 8sp casette. If I push the cover tight to the motor by hand I get a clearence of 2-3 mm. This is on a Bullitt. IMG_5929.JPG I had this when I first mounted the motor and realized I had the gear cabl...
