Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY
I've welded all my parallel groups, but due to the geometry of my pack and about a 50A current draw, it'll be hard to get ideal current sharing using just nickel strips for series connections. I'm thinking about using copper wire but soldering only in between the parallel cells ontop of the nickel s...

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
After not using it for almost 2 weeks, the spot welder doesn't even function anymore. The display turns on but trying to weld in automatic or using a switch doesn't work at all, I've tried with my old lipo and a new one. Anyone else have problems with the welder just not functioning?

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
? It's no different than the one you just reccomended to me, specs are quite literally the exact same, 65C continuous and 130C burst both at 5Ah.

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
a 5Ah 50C 3S lipo I just picked up with 12awg wires performs even worse than the 16Ah 10C Lipo I had earlier Regardless of which "pocket" spot welder you use (I have found four different models), I recommend that you go for the 3S / 130C LiPo...https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-battery-...

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
It seems the gauge of the battery wire matters a lot, a 5Ah 50C 3S lipo I just picked up with 12awg wires performs even worse than the 16Ah 10C Lipo I had earlier. now the welds are barely even sticking. Or the Lipo isn't as powerful as it claims to be, a user on another forum hasn't had luck with g...

[SOLD] 18 FET 4110 CAv3 Programmable Sinewave Controller - $140
Accidently deleted it previously. For sale is a brand new never used 18 FET(IRFB4110) programmable sine wave controller it came with my kit but I ended up using something else. Comes with a TTL-USB cable for programming with XPD. Features: Compatible with Cycle Analyst V3 Field weakening 3 Speed Pro...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs
I think I understand now, reading a bit more I didn't realize that some cells in a parallel group draw more or less current depending on where the series connection to the parallel group is hence the need for a thick bus across all cells. There's usually multiple series connection between parallel g...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs
If you have an 80A battery pack, and it is 8P, then each cell series connection must carry 10A from one group to a cell in the next group. Once you get to the end of the series groups, those 8 cells in the last row must be able to conduct that amount of current into one wire. If you can visualize a...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs
All the + series end cells and - series end cells must be connected! That pretty much goes without saying. Ideally with a reasonably heavy (large gauge) "rail" to provide good equal discharge from each series of cells. Why is it more important for the ends of the pack to have more conduct...

Re: Homemade Battery Packs
I see alot of builds that run the + and - leads along all the cells in the first and last groups, what are the benefits to this? I'm building a triangle pack so this isn't an option for me due to the weird cell arrangements.

I'm on the outlook for the next controller... Given suitable heatsinking: what is the max continuous battery current phaserunner can handle? From what Justin told me and other experiences from users on the forum, about 70A continuous phase amps. More info here https://endless-sphere.com/forums/view...
