Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Didn't I see a provision in the menu items for either a walk mode or a delay in the add power that you had to be moving before the power kicked in? You're correct although I don't think it's in the setup menu. It's a small delay of a second or two. The Neo bikes don't have a delay and if you're wai...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

As I said, it works as a parallel manual-torque sensor, so the motor moves without pedaling. But you see/hear it struggles to get a still bike moving (bad for the gear, and inefficient with the battery). Once it is moving it has no problem sustaining the chosen speed. I see no use for a throttle ex...

If you are afraid it disconnects shortly after if does not get any speed signal, I can confirm the throttle worked even when I misplaced the magnet
ah Thank you!

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

small question..

if you do have a TSDZ2 system that works with a throttle... do you still need to peddle? or can you use the throttle without peddling at all?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So, in other words, you say that the constant voltage will only give you a consistent peak wattage, and that the (non constant voltage) motor will still take similar wattage under similar non-stressing situations at different voltages? I am mainly concerned about decreased assistance at a non-stres...

as i'm riding a single speed track bike i decided to upgrade the plastic gear to a metal one extrasilver, I am picking up a 36 volt/350 watt version that has developed a problem after only 6o kms of use. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

It is not important in your case anymore, but for a single speed bike, wouldn't have been better/simpler a hub motor? Now a question that no one dared to answer me before. Is your boost converter "constant voltage"? Does constant voltage bring any advantage over the decaying voltage of the battery?...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You are not even mentioning your batteries. 36? 48? Maybe you can run the 48v @ 36v and keep the display. However I would still ask, why throttle at all? I see no practical usage unless you plan to move without pedaling at all right now i have a 36v lipo battery ( 2x 5ah 18.5v packs ) and i'm also ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Why 3 displays? Why throttle and Y cable? Why throttle without breaks? Why the metal gear? If you want the 48v version why not just buy the 48v version of your choice and sell the 36v one? :) i purchased the 36v 350w system with the VLC5 display because it thought it was the only version of this ki...

36v 350w system + VLC5 screen
XH18 display
metal replacement gear
48v 18a controller
throttle
48v XH18 display
Y cable

this is turning out to be much more expensive than i thought :(

@tomjasz are you 100% sure that you need a new display along with the controller? it could possible be that your original controller had a fault or something to do within the settings list for example the county code, does it say EUR , JAP or something else like USA? maybe its an issue like this tha...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

how does the torque sensor speak to the controller with the TSDZ system?

im curious if i could create my own throttle between the torque sensor and the board so a throttle can give false toque readings to the controller acting as a throttle

any thoughts on this?

thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

i will be ordering a 52 & 48t on friday There's not a lot of difference there. I'm running both the stock 42T and 52T and, given my rear gears, I hardly need the two. Even with the steepest hills I've had to do so far, the 52T with 28T has been low enough, and 52T with 13T (it won't stay in the 11 ...
