Re: Neatest Mid Mount?

Yes it’s a qs motors qs1000 mid motor.

Crossbreak
I can provide measurements and the weight soon. I’ve pondered the inlay of metal with my designs and while printing. I’ve thickened my printing and go solid 100%. I will post a screen shot of the cad art soon. I only use PTEG filament.

Re: Neatest Mid Mount?

Where I’m at now.
I used chopsticks as I haven’t measured for bolt length yet so loose fit. 69 hours of 3d printing for this. The main part was 50 hours, my longest print so far. About 9 ish hours each for the tube clamps. All printed with a solid 100% infill for strength.

I will be if things get even more expensive. I’ve started to get state taxed on my online purchases from Amazon and AliExpress and online bike stores like Jenson, etc. Will this push consumers to a supposedly cheaper USA made alternative? Right.

Re: Magura throttle set up

I had the same issue as a yourself but with the domino throttle. I used a 10k trimpot, the little knob type to easily adjust. I did find wiring diagrams that used the grounds. I choose to just use the trimpot inline with the throttle input voltage to reduce it. Think it’s the outer two pins and grou...

Re: Neatest Mid Mount?

Tom Thanks for asking. No thread yet. At the figuring out how part. I have a new fork, a steel hardtail frame is on order. What’s in the picture is a 3d printed part. Mostly a test for the pulleys and jackshaft distance etc. I would like to put the motor in the frame. I was going to share the rear c...

Re: AVOID THIS EBIKE DEALER

You should never pay in full until the bike is ready to pick up. If anything a third to design the bike and get things going. A third before or after the parts show up and the final third when you see the FINISHED bike and are picking it up that day. That last third is the builders profit, not all b...

Re: Looking for 6 leaf cells shipped to shelton ct 06484

Have you tried car-part.com? A national database of car parts that are in junkyards. I have used it several times where the uniqueness of the part justifies the shipping. Rims, intakes, exhaust manafold etc not to big. I have not purchased batteries this way though. Leave the area of search blank to...

Re: Sea Otter Classic 2019, April 11-14, Monterey California

It is a beautiful area. I was in the area for my uncles birthday in the fall. My wife and I passed on the $49 fee each, to enter the aquarium. We have a smaller aquarium near us in Mystic, CT. The next town to the south is Carmel, which is full of high end galleries and boutiques and great restauran...

Re: Cyclone 3000 un-smooth throttle response

Check your rear gearing. A large sprocket in the back gives a lot of torque. This is great for rocket take offs and hill climbs but the force pulling you back and you inadvertently advancing the throttle can be scary if you’re not prepared. Think this is called a whiskey throttle from the gas motorc...

Re: Full Chaincase Solutions - Hebie Chainglider

I never heard of a chaincase before reading your post. Explains what I remember seeing on a bike a while back. It must have been a DIY version. It was made of the wire moulding stuff. It did not move but the bike and obviously the chain moved. I had to take a second look for sure. Thinking it was th...

When do you think the 12f controller will be ready? Don’t want to kill myself having a bike ready for spring or summer. The thought of the possibility is nice though.

FZBob Great hand work there. I don’t think I’d have the patience to do that accurately. I’ve been looking for pulleys for my future build but in the larger 8mm pitch. I found a distubtror of pulleys where the center bore and keyhole size, and set screw, can be customized. The link below is for the s...

Re: Calling all Belt Drive Experts

Pretty cool to see the photo of the quage to check runout. I converted .02” to .508mm. Could prob build/print a centering jig to check as you drill out the holes. Or not. To keep things simple and moving here perhaps the original creator of the pulley crank could help out with the changes. Qwiksand ...

FZBob

If the bike moves, without totally shattering the 3d printed pulley, then I’d say it was a success. Improvements to come as you’ve mentioned. Glad you explained that the tensioner puts more teeth engagemeing at the belt and motor pulley. I hadn’t realized that previously.

Qwiksand Nice work especially the 2nd one where the gear teeth are on the inside/back of the chain wheel. With the integrated chainwheel metal would be best. Could 3d print the dust/weather shielding to keep costs down. I’ve been following this guys thread and this amazing swingarm for his Vespa tha...

Re: Calling all Belt Drive Experts

FZBob That does look bad ass, sick what have you. The best part is the simplicity and compactness. I was worried the belt might not engage in the teeth of the pulley that I printed for you. Glad it does! Things can grow a bit when 3d printing, if your flow rate is too high or you’re printing squishe...

Re: Calling all Belt Drive Experts

Nice work... Glad that pulley is getting some dialogue going. I just picked up qs1000w mid drive motor. It came with the larger 8mm pitch pulley installed. For skipping reasons I think it needs to be this size. It’s for a 15mm wide belt. I didn’t count teeth but it’s around 2 inches in diameter. So ...

My 1000w qs middrive motor came with this 8mm pitch timing belt pulley. I think the 2000W and 3000w motors will also ship this way unless you plan otherwise with the supplier. I ordered from Alibaba but see no real advantage of doing so. Special requests would likely have to come from qs motors dire...
