Re: EEB parts and support info

Yip thats the one with 30Q cells, think it sags around 2-3v when gunning it at 95a so not too bad at all, I've never had the battery warm up on me yet, its always the motor and controller that are scorching before the battery gets a chance to get warm.

Re: EEB parts and support info

That battery box looks like it would fit fine, the em3ev battery is 140mm wide and presses firmly against the side panels but they will give slightly for that box to fit, I might have a look at getting one as well. I've just got the battery sitting in there with padding around it at the moment and i...

Re: Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

As you know...your Sabvoton is toast. I took it apart, found a blown transistor in the LCD and a bunch of blown mosfets. The filter capacitors in these controllers are horrifically inadequate. Not only are they cheap, but there is about 3-4X less capacitance than what is needed for a 24 fet control...

Re: Hub motor selection guidance: 3kw unbranded vs 5kw QS

Yeah there's no way you'll limit it to 3kw with that setup, 3kw sounds powerful but isn't much really, I've got an eeb with the smaller edge 1500w hub and I push that over 6kw every ride for taking off at a good speed in front of traffic at the lights, even then I long for some more watts on occasio...

Re: EEB parts and support info

No issues at all with the wires clearing the rotor although I'm running the 35mm Edge motor, maybe the wider stator Mxus and QS motors have a little less room to play with..

Re: EEB parts and support info

Been a while since anyone's posted in here, thought I'd do an update, finally got around to installing the factory stand, it went on without a problem without having to move the screw position as suggested earlier, it slots nicely under the swingarm with ample clearance for the crank to go round, wi...

I thought the same about the blue seal as well! If you look at the rear shock you'll see its got the same slidey rubber piece as well. I also used a rubber hammer to tap the top brace off :)

Re: What is best ebike lighting available?

Anyone know a good 12v step down convertor for a 72v battery? 84v fully charged, maybe one of these ones? https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale- ... -down.html

Cheers

Re: Another Stealth bomber (clone) build

Just finished my build a few days ago, went with the em3ev 30ah 72v 30Q battery, its a very nice battery, have yet to put it through its paces though.

They look like the DNM USD-8 forks, pretty standard with the EEB frames

I'm interested in wiring an on/off key switch and charging port somewhere on the frame, can anyone recommend somewhere to get some parts to do that?

Re: EEB parts and support info

I hadn't installed a front fork before either but once I figured out which order the parts went it was very simple, I watched some youtube vids on headset spacers which you'll need and also hammering in the star nut, all easy stuff once you've seen the process. I went with the DNM USD-8 forks but th...

Thanks Green Werks, handy thread since I'm currently in the process of building my EEB, so I'm gonna have the same issue when I go to install my kick stand by the looks of it?

Re: Shifter & Derailleur for DNP 7-speed Freewheel 11T-28T

Cool thanks for the info guys, I read somewhere someone was saying it was 9 speed spacing, obviously wrong info, good to know. Yeah I agree with what you're saying momotech, at the momennt I'm only using a couple of gears as it is, usually just the 1, I've got a new battery and frame (eeb frame with...

Shifter & Derailleur for DNP 7-speed Freewheel 11T-28T

Just wondering if anyone knows if the answer here, I've got the DNP 7-speed Freewheel 11T-28T which apparently has 9 speed spacing and is 1:1 actuation. I'm looking at 7 speed shifters and thought it would be nice to get a derailleur with a roller bearing clutch and cage lock etc. So does anyone kno...

Re: EEB build vs complete build from Aliexpress

So you'd be able to get 20-30Ah at 72v around a downtube like that? that would be pretty cool, the other issue I have is most companies won't send batteries to my country by air, only by boat, so thats luna and em3ev out for batteries so I may have to continue on using my 3x 20Ah lipo bricks for now...

EEB build vs complete build from Aliexpress

Hi all, Sorry if this question has been repeated a few times, I can't say I've seen the bike I'm interested in on here anywhere, so just wondering if I can get some opinions on the bike below vs building my own, I've owned the bbshd and currently have an Edge 1500w running around 4000w, I carry the ...
