Re: Best Configuration

Ok, well I assumed you knew what I was saying. The end result is going to be 58v70ah. Yes I didn't put the H. I know what I am doing. I am speaking from a BMS perspective which would make the most sense

Best Configuration

On Battery Hookup they have 2 pack configurations available that will work for me, they are BMW packs
8s 70ah
or
16s 35ah

If I planned on using these on a 60v system, would I be better running the two packs in parallel or series or does it really not matter?
I am getting 4kw regardless. Thanks

New Motor EVT-4000e

So my wifes EVT 4000e motor burned up. So I need to replace it. I would love to just put in a new 10in Brushed 1500w motor, but I cant seem to find anything. I am wondering what people have done or what can be done. If I need to upgrade everything I'd probably up the voltage from 48 to at least 60v ...

But from what I have read, they still feed 48v to the Dc to Dc converter, and I wasnt sure if the stock one can handle 64v give or take

Evt-4000e Brushed, is 64v too much?

I am thinking of getting thishttps://batteryhookup.com/products/volv ... wh-lg-chem , but would charging each cell to 4v so 64v be too much?
I have seen the 60v mod by adding a 5th 12v SLA. But I'd rather use this. Thanks

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

So what would work best for me? I have a ZEV S6000L. Its older, 2013. Uses first gen Volt cells. 21s charged to 84v cutoff at 70v. It powers a 5000w brushless hub motor. And its street legal so it has all the other stuff for 12v. Headlights, turn signals etc.

EVT 4000e conversion questions

Current Specs. 48v Brushed 10in 1500w hub motor with 40ah SLA gets about 15 miles range.I am looking to convert it to brushless hub that can go 10-15mph faster and possibly 5-10 miles further. I do plan on doing the 60v mod, and that might be enough to satisfy her needs. But if not, I would love rec...
