Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

So what would work best for me? I have a ZEV S6000L. Its older, 2013. Uses first gen Volt cells. 21s charged to 84v cutoff at 70v. It powers a 5000w brushless hub motor. And its street legal so it has all the other stuff for 12v. Headlights, turn signals etc.

Re: EVT 4000e conversion questions

I wonder if this kit would do the trick and then get lithium type battery. Id kill for LifePo4 but they are so expensive

Any ideas on a 10in hub motor that would make this scooter a little more peppier?

EVT 4000e conversion questions

Current Specs. 48v Brushed 10in 1500w hub motor with 40ah SLA gets about 15 miles range.I am looking to convert it to brushless hub that can go 10-15mph faster and possibly 5-10 miles further. I do plan on doing the 60v mod, and that might be enough to satisfy her needs. But if not, I would love rec...

Re: How Is Cycle Analyst still in business? Worst customer support ever

Yeah that would be awesome. You are talking about half a rotation right? Whenever I look up half twist I get a bunch of results for throttles that are half as long in length not half rotation vs 1/4 rotation. Thanks again

Re: How to change my throttle output signal

I am still unable to find a solution, outside of purchasing a whole new controller. But for 72v6000w controller, that is going to be a boat load of money

Re: How Is Cycle Analyst still in business? Worst customer support ever

You might have better luck going from a quarter twist to a half twist throttle. That improved my ZEV 5000LA's throttle response quite a bit. I also had crappy customer service from Grin. They sold me a CA and then told me I had to modify the internals to make it work. They were completely non-apolog...

How Is Cycle Analyst still in business? Worst customer support ever

I have a zev 6000l. I do not have the option to reprogram the controller. I want to make the power/throttle curve WAY flatter. Any little movement from 0 makes it super dangerous and jerky. I want the top speed to stay the same, I just want it so that when I twist from a dead stop it doesnt practica...

Re: How to change my throttle output signal

I am still looking to get the programming cable and program for my controller, apparently its like the hardest thing in the world to find. That being said, I am pretty sure its a really old APT controller. it was made in 2013 for a ZEV s6000 I have considered getting a CA but I cant seem to find dec...

Re: throttle wiring question

What if you want the top end untouched, but want the low end to have a slower acceration/less torque off the line?

Re: How to change my throttle output signal

Yeah I couldn't get this to work, I added the pot and all it did was make the jerkyness happen sooner on the throttle twist than later. I just need less torque, or less power available to the controller when when starting from 0v or so. The curve needs to flatten, its so dangerous.

Re: How to change my throttle output signal

I did this today, pretty sure I did it right. As I slowly increased the ohms I eventually got to the point were I was creeping the scooter along. so I backed it off a bit. But it is still too torquey and speedy off the line and is super dangerous.

Re: How to change my throttle output signal

So this needs to be added to the ground? Not the incoming 5v or the voltage going to the controller? And this will work with a throttle that uses two magnets? And lastly, is this going to to prevent the top speed from being achieved? by never allowing 5v to be passed through?

Looks worth it with the above considerations, but doesn't seem to have a license plate. Could be a problem.

Re: Does this seem like a good deal

I couldn’t view the ad but it looks pretty decent from the description on the EV album. What was the asking price? 2k, I have communicated with him a bunch, I also need to make sure I can configure the controller to have a smoother starting torque curve, I hate too much acceleration right off the l...
