For your current weight, the mid drive. Unless you went with a very large hub motor, preferably in a small wheel. 2000w plus,, more or less small motorcycle rather than "bike". Typical hub motors would be a reasonable choice, once you are under 250 pounds though. Thank you for the detailed response...

Hub motor vs BBSHD for hill climbing fat guy

Hello everyone. I am stuck deciding between a BBSHD and a hub motor (Edge 1500, Crystalyte, 9c). I am about 140-150 KG (bit more than 300 pounds), and the hills in my area are mostly 4-5% grade with a few 7-8%. I have tried a BBSHD at a local shop, and it was great for flats but there were no hills ...
